The game at Greenbank on Wednesday also ended in very bad light, very dangerous conditions to play in. Ball was difficult to see and I was surprised no one got injured. Despite that though I have to say it was a good, well thought game from both sides.

Surely must be Mitchells who hammered Brendans!!!

So what date is the senior cship final then? its a joke games are being played in the dark, should be a weekend game then. even though conditions are of course the same for everyone, it justs makes for a poor game of football were boys cant play at their best. should be a better organisation of fixtures.
stephen m for brendans is a class act, but them fellas have a few good players. just like a few of the other manchester teams, some great individuals in every team, which the lancashire team proved (contrast to what bigtom was sayin) but peters seem to be the only ones lookin like they can win anythin.

Senior Championship semi finals...
How do you see them Playing out, is it as people have suggested for a while a repeat of last years final, or will Lawrences and Brendans throw the cat amongst the pigeons. I'll get the ball rolling then with my own Pics.
John Mitchells V St Brendans
The boys form manchester have again made big strides forward this year, they have added some much needed quality to there ranks. and will fancy there chances. But i fear they will be the only ones who fancy there chances, as Mitchells will start this one as red hot favourites. going for 4 in a row (I think) with much the same outfit that has surved them well throughout there recent dominence. altough not the youngest team on the block they should have more than enough experience and fire power to get rid of there Opponents. Mitchells by 7
St Peters V St Lawrences
A surprising defeat at the Hands of Oisins at the weekend has givent this encounter a bit of spice, where previously Peters had looked impressive all year, who knows what effects their first defeat of the year might have on there belief. and more importantly the boost it may give to St Lawrences. But in honesty the size and strenth in depth Peters now posses from 1 -20 shoulod see them home with Plenty to spare. Lawrences not without a bit of quality of there own should put up a good fist of it, but will fall at the semi final stage once more. Peters by 5

MITCHELLS V BRENDANS
Mitchells are very dominant on there home patch, would like to know when there senior team last lost a game at Greenbank. Brendans have no doubt improved but Mitchells will have to much for them.
Mitchells be 8 points
PETERS V LAWRENCES
Can't seen anything other than an easy win for Peters, if Lawrences can keep it tight early on and still be in the game come the second half than you never know. Just think Peters have far to much quality.
Peters by 12 points.

Predictions for Sunday
Mitchels -v- Brendans
Everyone is expecting Mitchels to wlatz though this one however I am not so sure. Brendans are coming to the boil nicely and are training hard at the moment. In this tie I do believe a lot will depend on how Brendan's start if Mitchels get a lead on them I think it would be too much for them to come back however if Brendans can keep it close who knows.
Home advantage will count alot here and I will go Mitchels by 5.
Peters -v- Lawrences
Again contrary to popular belief I do not believe this result is as clear cut as most people are making out. Lawrences always raise their game and no doubt they will fancy the chance to end Peters unbeaten run this season.
On the other hand Peters are training hard and will be in no mood to give up their unbeaten tag, for Peters getting to the semi final stage and bowing out would be not short of unacceptable.
I think Peters will come through this (just)
Peters by 4
P.s. Does anyone know what is happening with the Senior league? Is there semi finals or is it a straight top 2 final?

Senior League: A League structure is used first with each team playing each other once. 7 teams in the league.
1st place team goes into Senior League semi final, whislt the remaining 6 teams will play in 3 quarter final games. with 2v7.... 3v6....4v5 home advantage going to teams 2,3 and 4.

Mitchells beat us 1-10 to 0-7 yesterday
was 4 points apiece at half time, we should have gone in ahead at half time but we didn't make the most of our chances.
Was only a point in it with 5 minutes to go but Mitchells made the most of there good spell and scored 1-3 without reply although there goal was a square ball with the refreee refusiing to listen to the advice of the umpire.
Mitchells extra experience showed though

was at the peters lawrences game yesterday, half of the turn moss outfit looked as if they didnt want to be there! peters would have liked a more competitive game than that before the final but i still think they will beat mitchells, 5 points to spare over a poorly organised and weary brendans outfit yesterday, they clearly are on the decline. in response to red hand- who are all these big hitters that are missing? Shows poor committment if these so called big hitters couldnt be bothered to show for a championship semi final! in other news- heard that oisins have got a higher ticket allocation for the all ireland finals than ne other club!!!! anyone know why? there will be sum unhappy cork and down men!!!!

you're bound to get a scrappy game when the Mitchells management continually shout at there players to foul.

Typical response of Brendans again being poor losers, I was at he game and never heard one call from Mitchels bench to make a foul. Although it was close for a good bit of the game, Mitchels turned it up a notch when they could and needed too, I never thought the result was in doubt. The better team clearly won. Quit the excuses. And true Mitchels may not be the team they were last year or the 2 years before due to several reasons, but were still to much for Brendans. In fairness to Brendans they have improved and as this is there 1st semi-final appearance in 7/8 years they maybe will consistantly be able to compete with the better teams from now on. Peters beating Lawrences was never really a doubt. I cant decide now who will win this final, gonna go for Mitchels now, as Red hand says, their big guns are gettin back and must buckle down for a month!!

good one, don't believe you for a second soprano, you'll have a fair idea how the game went from all the Brendans men you know!!
You weren't at the game because you would have known there was a point in it with 6 minutes to go and everyone could hear a certain Mitchells man encouraging his side to foul continually.
We were beaten by a side who took there chances when they were on top, we were a little bit short but who knows what would have happened if the ref had correctly dissallowed the Mitchells goal.
We wish Mitchells all the best in the final, there a great side which they've proved continuously over the last 4 years. They accumalated a lot of experience as well which is something we lacked.
We'll be back stronger next year.

I know a handful of Brendans lads alright, not too many. I wouldnt know many of the new lads use have got, mainly the players use had 2+ years ago.... Tho use have recruited well, and im sure use will be back stronger, ive been sayin all year use would be close... And im rarely or never in contact wi ur club, why would I?
I see random games here and there now....
U talk about experience tho Are your players really that young? Surely they must be in round mid 20's as most teams here are, playin in different counties accumulating experience, experience isnt just got in lancashire, its the same game everywhere.
U clearly have mistaken me for someone else tho! Good luck wi that, take a go at who I am then il fess up if u get it, dont care as il never face use on the pitch anymore. And this will be the last season il be watchin games (bar the odd trip) in lancashire
If not put up or keep ur badly drawn guesses to urself.
