Gareth Dooley from Mitchels was the goalie, another lad Joe was on the bench….
The rest didn't appear for reasons unknown… There was 3 or 4 of them playing against London tho, no-one seems to know what's happening from reports ive heard?? I didn't see this tho, only goin from what ive been told..
Shame as they would surely make the county team/squad stronger and as Lancashire went so close last year, ive heard the lads have built a great team spirit that could make the difference this year… They have a tight solid defence and some talented speedy forwards.

We played Lawrences last night in the Senior Championship in what could best be described as a scrappy game. We ran out winners 1-12 to 0-9.

Its that time again... One hell of a busy championship scedule beginning tomorrow night. So heres my predictions:

Lancashire Senior Championship

Thursday15th July

St Brendans v St Peters
What a game in prospect here. Both teams are sitting on 1 win each with a game played. Brendans have been impressive so far this season and will fancy their chances. However Peters are undefeated all year at senior level and their recent excellent wins over John Mitchels must see them go in as favourates. Peters by 5 points.

John Mitchels v Oisins
Perhaps Mitchels aren't quite the team they were at their peak but I dont think Oisins are quite as strong as the have been either. Mitchels are still major players and know exactly when to peak. With the benifit of home advantage I expect the Liverpool team to win. John Mitchels by 6 points.

St Annes v St Lawrences
Having both lost their opening games these sides will know that a defeat here will all but end their intrest in this years big prize. For me this is the hardest game to call. Annes are well capable of delivering, especially in the championship, but I'm gonna tip Lawrences to pip them to the post. Although a draw wouldn't shock me. Lawrences by 1 point.

Peters will get done by Mitchells, i know they beat them already once this year and they have recruited 2 or 3 very good players this year, but i just think they havent got the stomach to win it. Annes nearly beat them aswell this year so that says it all

I think Peters beat mitchells twice this year, once in the senior league and once in the championship... both quite comfortable wins. This is definatly a stronger Peters team than last year. saying that mitchells know how to win championships, and their still the team to beat. some of their more senior players are starting to filter back into their ranks.

Yeah I can confirm that Peters have beaten Mitchels twice, by 6 and 9 points respectively. I agree that Mitchels are the favourates, they are beginning to really get into their stride at exactly the right time. With saying that Peters have a better chance than anyone over the past 3 years to stop Mitchels. Should make for an interesting conclusion to the championship.

So all games have been played in the senior championship, is there a draw for the semi final or do 1st play 4th and 2nd play 3rd?

What has happened Oisins this year, only 1 win against Anns, thought they fancied there chances this year!!

I never had lawrences down to beat Oisin's. but thats 2 ytears on the spin that Lawrences have made the semi's. they have some quality in there ranks, just a matter of getting them out there on the field... they lack enough depth to be serious contendors though.
