Is andy murray on the verge of winning his first grand slam ?, has not dropped a set as yet reaching the semi final also is playing on his favourite surface. federer is playing in his 23rd slam semi final on the trot ,for me the greatest sportsman on the planet, i fancy federer to beat murray in 4 sets in the final.

the lad is scottish and no where near as blown up as henman was, i think this lad is the real deal and has beaten both federer and nadal on numeros occasions.

Absolutely right. Well ok, Murray is Scottish.

OK, maybe there are only about two better tennis players in the world. Murray, especially with Nadal possibly gone, is certainly top 4 in the entire World.

So, vastly over rated.

The clinching pieceis Dell does not rate him at all, and nothing tpo do with misplaced racism.

So if Dell does not rate him Murray may well win 60 major titles.

You are a hard man to please Dell. I don't particularly like him, but he is a very good tennis player who has been in the top 4 in the world for the last 3 years, so don't see how you 'don't rate the lad at all'. He isn't Federer or (a fit) Nadal but he is as good as anything else out there. Sometimes lets the occasion get to him a bit, but he hasn't dropped a set in the Australian Open so far, and has a great chance of winning the whole thing now.

Just hate murray. A fully fit with nadal would of beat him. Murray has a tendency to melt when the pressure comes on ( Roddick at wimbledon) So cilic could beat him. Federer will win it either way. One of the greatest sportsmen ever!

when i said upset i meant win the thing outright and beat federer. cilic will thrash murray like he done at the us open in straight sets. he's already beaten del potro (a better player than murray) and roddick. his only problem might be that his last two matchs were 5 setters, but other than that he should beat murray

God as soon as I saw the thread title I knew Dell would be on making the exact comment that he did. It did actually make me laugh how utterly predictable and boring he is

He started off looking a bit Scottish but bye the end of the 3rd set he was once again looking British.

Firstly, Not his fault if the English Media blow him up. He makes no secret of the fact his nationality is scottish and not british.

Secondly, he is a great sportman who shows passion and effort in his game. He is a very good role model of what a sportsman should be. He wasnt the strongest, but he worked on that, and what sets him apart form people such as Henman is his will to win.

This was epitomised today in the match changing point he won in the second set. The live text on BBC online quotes "A break point. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Murray is out of the point when Cilic's forehand clatters the net and dribbles over, but he gets there, stretches for a volley, runs back for a lob, spins around and sends a quite outstanding forehand pass down the line. Lordy goodness. The crowd are on their feet, and Murray is punching the air and bellowing..."

Congrats to Andy Murray - Now on the verge of a first British mens GS title in 70 odd years.
Came through fairly comfortably despite the setback of losing the first set.

But lets be honest nationality aside the fist pumping/bicep kissing/Snarling/personality as dry as last months bread etc _ I just cannot stand him.
Hope Roger bates him back over hadrians wall inside an hour.
