anybody else think there are some very average players on this panel and many other quality players left out?

coming from a players perspective, the team will be critizised, due to the so called average players, cant see this team going far. if anyone wishes to prove me wrong please fire away

yeah it is always going to be criticised by the unlucky candidates i suppose! there are still some average players on it though who could be replaced by better quality (coming from a coaches opinion)

its not a good sign if the county managers cant select the best panel surely?

im now too old for minor football but i attended the final trial at the weekend to see hw the clubmates got on. must say ther seems to be some very capable players who would push for any team in ulster however i cant see the consistancy throughout the panel. an obvious gulf in class was apparent and some of the lads just arent up to the mark. heard a few names who are left out which surprised me as i know them to be very good footballers. wonder if they feel aggrieved at managers choosing club players evn if they arent good enough?

yes there are "some" good players on the panel but some good players isnt enough to overcome a tyron side. just want to state somthing. how come there are 8 lamh dearg players on it if before the trials started it clearly said that there was a maximum of 5 players from each club (hence there is a guy from lamh dearg on the management team). surely this is bias towards other clubs in antrim.

the only player from the 8 LD players at the first trial who got left out i thought would have been a sure pick. he's a young lad and he'll get his chance next year.

i see couple of the rathmore lads have been left out, bit iffy on the decisions, what about Liam Murphy of St Joes Glenavy or is he above now?

the stig last point makes perfect sense , there does eem to be a bias towards lamh dhearg , i can think of one belfast club that would be disappointed with only two players on the panel.

obiously theres gonna be a debate about that quality in the side as players who didnt get picked will complain...i agree wth it somewhat that there are a couple of dodgy players ....yet there is some great talent there too..

I really do not think that rathmore players will be that sorely missed come championship time.

I must say i disagree with this " bias " cater. Lets face it wheter we like it or not, lamh dhearg have the strongest team in the county and to say these 7 or 8 players only got on because of a ld maneger crazy

creggan are county champions yet only have 2 players on the panel? hard to look past the fact the manager picked 8 players from his own club when clubs were only told to send 5 players to trials

antrimlegend must be an LD man to say that. yes lamh dearg are a strong side but the fact of the mater is that there is more talant out there than what is on the panel. for example, only 2 creggan boys, no gort boys. two finalists last season, must have few players in their squads yet, the managers have not recognised their mistake

Antrimlegend County: Antrim Posts: 6 545162 I must say i disagree with this " bias " cater. I also find it strange that there are so few creggan players on it considering they have won two in a row. And if indeed the five per club rule was enforced then the maths regarding lamh dhearg just dont add up.......or maybe im wrong.

Lads I hate to point this out to you but the MANAGER is from Ahoghill who only have 1 player on the panel. The LD man is only a selector / trainer.
