Mitchels have no chance of winning the SFC. Far too many lads who want to look good playing a lower level of football.

For me it's one of Macs, Barnabas and EGB. Depends who recruits better over the close season.

I believe if things stayed as they were then Macs should won the juniour and senior- Junior should be easy with the amount of young las coming through- I believe they haven't lost a game this year. Senior will be a different kettle of fish this year- the older fellas canKt be relied on to the same extent and a few of the irish lads will be going back home, so I believe a lot depends on how the young lads step up and again- what new recruits we get.
I have been impressed with Barnabus, and hope that they're commitment and desire continues to help raise the standard of football in Warwickshire.
I agree Mitchells could POTENTIALLY challenge with they players at there disposal- they won't come close though because of there commitment level lacks.
EGB- I hope they challenge, but as long as Neenan's part of the club I hope they win nothing.

tonymontana if things stay as they are with the leagues next yea would macs juniors not move up to inter , mitchells can challange at senior if they decide thats what they want to do , they done plenty of talkin before the inter final , and then marys playe them off the park , Barnabas have had a gfood couple of years now and i hear they are having a junior/reserve team next year , i think they just have to watch that they dont over stretch themselves as i think they have a small commitee &little resources available.
I think the most dissapointing team off year has been leicester , i thoguht they would have been challanging in the inter league and try and get to senior , Marys look like a good outfit now and they will do well at senior i think they will surprise a lot of clubs , similar to Barnabas this year

That's a bit harsh TonyMontana regarding EGB!!

from what i understand the new format has been adopted and will be in place next year.

Senior: Macs, Mitchels, Barnabas, Casements, EGB, Marys and Four Masters.

Reserve: All clubs with a 2nd team

Inter: All the rest with only 1 team

All grades to have their own league and championship.

macsman, ur solihill rivals have won the last 3 intermediate all Btitains in a row, and without resorting to bullyboy tactics too. if I remember right they are the last team to win the football too. once you win your own county champ you should look to compete in the bigger comps like Mitchells, otherwise you turn into a strictly smalltime club.

Mitchells play Mary's in the intermediate League. Should really be a play off final, but Mitchells wouldn't agree! Apparently they would like to drag the league out for another few weeks!

Re Mitchels :I'd say they are still bitter about having the opportunity to win next years Intermediate championship taken away from them. Probbaly just trying to savour playing Inter for as long as possible

Think they are bitter alright, just don't want to see Mary's be handed their 3rd cup at PNH in as many weeks! Would rather not travel to wolves in the return leg if they are beat, so Marys would be just given the league cup, not very sporting of them!

Hey folks, new here so go easy!!

Didn't you allow amalgamations into the Senior Championship last year? Was this done this year? Did it work more importantly?

As a Mitchels Man I would like to congratulate Macs on there achievements this year . There is a historical rivalry between Mitchels and Macs and never any love lost but you must admire what they have achieved this year and over the last 10 - 15years or so. They may not have won the All Britain championship in that time but they have represented the county more times than anyone else (by a long way).

Stickman, we were well beaten full stop. The scoreline didn't represent how totally dominant FG were that day. We were very lucky to go in at half time so close, with Fish missing a lot from placed ball for a change, and we hardly scored from play all game. I was impressed how they closed the game out as well, they never looked like conceding much in the second half. Plenty for us to work on for next year.

I'd like to wish Fullen the best of luck in the final this weekend. Ye're more than capable of beating the London team, and I'm sure the Mitchels lads will be supporting ye out there. Just think of the non stop winter training between Monday and January (while us bitter lads will be in the pub licking our wounds), what more motivation do ye need?

Barnabas vs macs today for the senior league title in Nottingham , whats your thoughts ?
Macs will be out to prove a point after last weekends game , Barnabas have had a good first season back at senior and will have nothing to lose today , surely all the pressure is on macs , i think the game will need a good strong referee as macs will try and intimidate the nottingham lads as per usual , will be a good game and lets hope that football is the winner on the day

Can't agree with you Knowle. Macs have had plenty more football the last month and will prbably win this one with ease. Barnabus missing around 6 regulars as well

knowle, you are quick on the ball, 3 Macs sent off & 2 from Barnabus. I suppose hoganstand will go into meltdown over the next week with lads on here about Macs and their tactics.
But you will be surprised to hear that this was not a dirty game, there was one bad challenge from a Barnabus lad early in the game that went unpunished, but then the referee decided that christmas had come early with the amount of cards that he gave out, it was absolutely ridiculous.
I think that the Barnabus lads will agree with me on this. The game finished in the dark with the amount of time the referee played in both halves. Dont know who the referee was or where he came, but we will be in trouble in the county if he is allowed any more games.
At the end it wasn't a bad game at all with both sides playing some good flowing football when the referee wasn't pulling things up. Macs won by 5 points, 1-8 to 1-3.
Just a mentions to Macs young lads with 4 of the under 18s playing today, who were all excellent and to man of the match Micheal Hayden, by far the best player in the county this season.

Did Michael Hayden not get sent off in the All Britain final? If so should he not of been suspended for todays game?
