there is defo an element within macs that causes trouble. it is a shame, they have a poor disciplinary record and regularly have players sent off. I believe I am right in saying that egb also like having players sent off. Top of my fair play list would be four masters and barnabus.

No team likes having players sent off. Macs like to push things to the edge in terms of physicality. When there is a neutral referee this often means someone getting sent off. You often see Macs drag games down when teams are on top of them. Fair play though for the large part it is effective. Sounds like they met more than their match yesterday though.

at first i was a bit disappointed to hear a warwickshire team didnt win, but after reading the comments about their 'tactics' and foul play i am glad they lost. Suppose St Peters think Macs just bullied their way through the warwickshite set-up, because they were quite clearly out-played football wise.

Finbarrs for the fair play award!!haha!

I'd say Peters were expecting a physical game but probably not to that extent. McDermotts were just pure dirty, plenty of the ball stuff. Got to laugh at how animated there sideline got when they got a bit of their own medicine.

They were outclassed by a far better footballing side, was expecting a far closer game, there's three better side in Lancashire then them.

thedancer why will you have to be travelling to cardiff and bristol next year? I can guarentee Cardiff will have a team week in week out, almost enough players for two teams and now a very strong university side set up to bolster numbers!

I don't know what possessess a club to hit the field with tactics like this, priority putting the other team off by whatever means and then they hope to play a bit instead of concentrating on their own performance. Bullying tactics have brought them success in warwickshire agreed but it doesnt work in the all britain, your playing a team in a one off game, they are not going to play with any fear, reputataions count for nothing.
You can list our your 13 from 16 record but something doesnt work in the all britain for macs. I wonder if macs took to the field with their own gameplan instead of concentrating on demolishing the others would they have had more success in britain

totally agree pink panther, their tatics on sunday were terrible also some of the players didnt look that fit, maybe a change of manger and trainer someone with fresh ideas and tactics might help macs, their current manager has been successful theirs no doubt about that but maybe to freshen things up would help them progress in the all britains

Macs didn't play to the best of their abilities, not because they were concentrating on dirty tactics but because they just didn't perform as good as we know they can. Big game nerves?- not sure, just one of those days I suppose.
I'm sure they will be there again next year.
In terms of macs being to aggresive- I would like to point out that St Peters gave away twice as many frees as macs and that they were 1st to have a man sent off. I believe it was young Hayden who was sent off for macs, for what I believe was a yellow card offence.
Interesting to see other Warwickshire teams slating macs for not winning- it wouldn't happen to be the green eyed monster would it?!

Bigfella - ah c'mon why so aggro. you were representing warwickshire up there so everyone here has a right to comment. look i think fair play to ya for gettin where you did, but falling at the last hurdle must be tough to take.

all the best for next year, but i think it will be StB running the show.

No green eyed mosnster here tonymontana, the better macs do the higher the profile is raised of warwickshire football. When I talk to my friends at home about the standard of football i like to say we were beaten by the best intermediate club in britain, but that isnt the case, no jealousy whatsoever. For that reason I would like to see the warwickshire winners compete well in the all britains, whether it be Macs, St Bs, Mitchells, whoever.

Cardiff and Bristol and Bristol are joining Warwickshire next season? Is there any truth in this?

Don't think there's any truth in that at all!!

when you have won u12 chmpship provincial u12 chmpship ladies chmpship u16chmpship and all Britain still in the u18 chmpship junior chmpship snr chmship got to the all Britain final all in one year your bound to get clubs jealous of our achievements. When you look at our record we dominated the 70's dominated from 95 onwards apart from 3 chmpships. So are tactics and ways of teaching our kids cant be too bad.
As for the All Britain we got beat by a better side but just remember we were there were you and how long is it since your club has been.
As for bullying, off the ball tactics just remember this is a mans sport and if you can't take it go and take up ballet.
Come on here for the first time today just to make a point usually i would be organising training sorting out fundraising making sure my team reap successes.Get off your computer and do something for your club or try and beat us in Warwickshire instead of coming on here moaning about macs.

Good on ya Macs man, I'm sick of hearing from these jealous fools. I wish to God they had a bit more pride and bottle to just admit Macs have been consistently the better side, better club and more successful and instead of trying to put us down- congratulate us and use it as an insentif to beat us and knock us off our perch.
All mouth no action. With the exception of maybe Barnabus, the other teams in Warwickshire needs to spend more time putting effort and commitment into your own clubs instead of bickering on here!

macsman and tonymontana. you dont have to look far to see a team that has won all Britains recently. Ye have had a great year and it is good to see the underage coming well but you would swear that no other team puts in effort the way ye goes on. high horses indeed. yere tactics were a joke in Manchester, people have every right to point it out, ye need to inprove this if ye want to make it further, not shout down everybody who brings up a valid point.
Once ye get out of warwickshire, teams arent afraid, Scotland showed this last year and Manchester this yr, and the guy that got sent off shoulda being off twice earlier. hes a young lad should know better and is way better at football than rough boy tactics, in fact the usual boys whod be the suspects for fightin were the ones doing the peace making.

Macman and Tony ya should take off your green tinted glasses and realise it was constructive criticism, that is all. What you do works in Warwickshire, why do i feel im repeating myself here but if macs supporters cannot hold their hands up and admit their team cross the boundary too often then i dont really want to talk football with them. Try and come on with an honest opinion, not a biased 1 and quit trumpin on about your warwickshire success, theres no one debating that, i stated yesterday I want to see warwickshire being the best intermediate county in the uk whoever represents us because as a member of said county it raises all our profiles as we are competing in that league.
Please dont give me that rubbish about a mans game again, its my granda im talking to, i don't often see a macs man hitting with a shoulder or stopping with a proper tackle, thats a mans game, hitting a man off the ball or attempting to bite or drag or whatever is not a man in my eyes, its a coward
