If Macs have nothing to hide, they wont mind EGB objecting. As a previous poster has said, it would not be the first time they have tried to pull the wool over people's eyes

It's up to EGB if they really have the conviction that Macs played outside the rules. If they don't object thats their business. The same applies to the rest who then go on to play Macs. The only way it will be proved/disproved is by an official objection. I haven't heard of one so far so I'd imagine its all just smokescreen again.

Macsforfive/Moonshine, do you know why the transfer isnt listed on the website, maybe you have an insight into the background?

Am I right in saying the next fixtures are JM v STB and Macs v RC, any dates set for these yet?

Kevin Brady was on the Galway panel and signed for Tuam Stars, that didn't stop you with him!

It wouldnt be the first time macs have bent the rules alright, a certain galwayman a few years back springs to mind nevermind the rest.
Can any macs men inlighten me on why they're so obsessed with cheating?
Back when i was playing id rather win a county medal (and a few i have) by fair honest team who train all year for it, much better feeling at the end off it.
I believe if EGB have objected then MACS v RC will be a while away yet?

what is it with everyone on here, i think a lot of you thought Macs wouldnt come out of their group when the draw was made now that they have some people are going on about players transfers and talking a load of nonsense. All transfers are in and are correct, so stop your whinging and get on with playing football.
As for Macs only winning their c`ship games by 1 point, what difference does it make weather it is 1 point or 10 points we have topped the group simple as that. People going on about EGB not taking their scores, well if you dont take scores you wont win games, no point in talking about it on here, if they took this score & that score.
Anyway roll on semi-final day.

FootballCrazy09, any chance you could enlighten me on which club you won your c`ship medals with. Because in the last 14 years in Warwickshire Macs have won 11 c`ships, RC have won 2, and St.Brendans have won the other one.

Well said hanlon, i mean moonshine!!
yes you've topped your group and have scraped 2 victories but thats all that counts, but can you stop ignoring the fact about these ringers you've brought in?
Why do macs always do it?

A lot of jealousy in this county it seems against macs, but their results tell their own story. And as for footballcrazy you should think before you spout your nonsense on here, too many conspiracy theories from beaten teams.

When i moved from home a long while ago the standard in this county was good, its absolutely appauling now so i dont see how i can be jealous what so ever?

FootballCrazy09, no ringers at all, what is the problem with Macs signing new players when they become available, every other club in the county has new players on board this year, yet i dont hear anything about them.

Sorry Moonshine, you may be in the clear this time but your club has a history of doing this kind of thing hence the suspicion of foul play.

Was it Newcastle a couple of years back when you played a Scottish team and used a load of ringers and still got beat??

i would agree that the standard of football in the county has deteriorated rapidly over the last decade or so, the fact that macs have dominated this period would give evidence to this decline in footballing prowess, with most senior teams being on a par with intermediate teams from the rest of the country as shown by the frequent hammerings at provincial level.

moonshine - not bothered who we play - just wondering if it is likely to be any time soon if an objection has been lodged!

Does anybody have any ideas on the league standings for inter & senior at the moment , and also will the inter champ winners this year go up to senior next year , i would think that Marys would be pretty keen to join the senior ranks next year , i believe they have only played 1 league fixture all year.

We (Marys) have only played 2 league fixtures this year and 1 championship match. We are very keen to go up to senior, but I am sure it's the league winners and noth the ch'ship winners who go up.

I think it used to be the case that the Intermediate league winners got promoted to Senior but there was a club a fewe years back who were the strongest at the grade but didn't want to get promoted so they decided not to field in there last few games to throw the league. After that i believe it was changed so that the Championchip winners got promoted instead. This might of changed again but it would be worth someone in your club finding out for definate.

Thought it would be a double header for the semis no? Would make sense for getting a few bob on the gate.
