Macsforfive who is Mel? I am just calling it the way i see it and your lot were at your strongest apart from Hayden and you never performed.

Diggerman I agree it is very close this year apart from FM as they are much longer than 6/1 more like 33/1 to be honest. FM have a good chance of getting to the Junior Final but never Senior.

Senior Final Casements Vs Macs that is my prediction and then it will a good close game.

Any Opinions on this?

of course you can blame the disco. theres many a good player has been lost to the high shtool. just ask the lads up in the greaneyfriars, they could've all been May-o minors, took to the drink when they didnt get the shtart.

I dont think Casements would stand a chance against Macs in the champs should they meet, they were demolished in last years semi final.

As for the so called 'Group of Death' i can see Barnabas advancing with EGB and Macs fighting over the other place.

No 15.

Inter league is a JOKE. Brendens only team to even bother to field agaist us this year. NP cried off saying thier pitch was not available but then strangley couldn't make it birmingham either and as for Chads.......pathetic.

This is why we are desperate to get up into Senior, it will be a big step up us but at least we will be playing matches instaed of training har twice/three time a week just to have another now show.

Why so interested???

Regards to the trial match tonight.......... its a bit of a joke that all the lads from Brum/Coventry/Wolves have been asked to travel to Nottingham for a trial match on a thursday night when Barnanbus dont even make the effort to travel to PNH on Tuesday nights for Sugrue games and have their games on a weekend, causing a further backlog in fixtures.

Doire93. Firstly the Sugrue Cup is played on a league basis with all games played in PnaH, this seems a bit unfair for Nottingham to have to travel down 5 times mid-week for what are effectively home fixtures for the Birmingham / Coventry clubs. if the games were played on a home and away basis then we would have no objection to travelling down mid-week, though i suppose you would still object to coming up to Nottingham. Re. the fixture tonight, its now been called off as you lads couldnt be bothered to make the effort to come up. The Barnabas lads made the effort to travel the same distance down to Coventry last week so I don't see how this is any different. If you want to encourage people to play for the county and get the best squad out there has to be a bit of give and take. If you take a look at Nottingham on the map its actually not that far up the road, about 50 mins in a car, its not in Scotland or Cumbria and you would probably travel a lot longer in Ireland to play some games. Unfortunately Barnabas have now had to tell their players that the game is off and they are obviously very disappointed and i'd say their players are discouraged by the county set up. If you disagree with all I've said then they shouldn't bother arranging this fixture at all, save everyone a load of hassle and just let you lads sort it out between yourselves in Birmingham/Coventry.

Why are players invited for the trials? Surely a county manager's responsibility is to pick from what he sees in club matches. County training should be shared between clubs so nobody can complain.

All clubs should ensure facilities are in place for the panel to train on a given night as their players are representing the club and wearing a county jersey from which performances for their clubs has warrented.

Burdo, i have it on good authority that Leicester have recently had the drainage done on their pitch and it was not playable at the time of the game. The reason they couldn't make it to Birmingham was because they had 7/8 players out either injured or not available that weekend. County secretarty was notified first thing on the sunday morning as soon as they knew they couldn't field. They have fielded in every game since! Surely you know yourself its normally the case that no club travels away from birmingham and rings about 20 minutes before throw in to let the teams know!?

Casments FF - If you don't know who Mel is by now you must be suffering from memory loss - Is he not the Senior Captain of the club you protest to be from, Im not a betting man but don't think there are too many Mels around!

As for Macsforfive - Im sure that's not Mel. Any excuses for Tuesday night?
