Of course I know theres no such thing, however if you read the post in the context of the conversation with the Louth man you will see what I was getting at

il forgive your innocence Jinxie, see there is no All Ireland COmpetition at Under 14/15. Do you wish to continue this argument or give up?
I have far more inside knowledge than you in this area.

Exactly, theres none, satire must be new to you! pointless results in the grander scheme of things
your basing a couple of u14 & u15 wins a reason why Next years Louth minors will beat Meaths! A bit presumptous dont you think

Trying to patch over the cracks in your knowledge now i see Jinxie.

Well if form at under 14/15 isnt a gauge what is??? perhaps we should look at demographic factors and see that Meath have a higher population of 17/18 year olds. Does this tell us more??
Cop on lawd and accept i'm right.

The number 8 in meath colours and the number 7 and 8 , 13 in nobber colours played well at that 3.0 clock game i enjoyed whistling that game.

Cracks? Ha, you the one that thinks Louth beating Meath in a u14 game puts them above Meath in the minor pecking order. Alot changes from them lower age groups to the time they play minor.

As for you population theory, it comes down to how many of them are actually play GAA, not just living in a county.

thats wrong... number 8 and 9 in nobber colours dominated midfield... full forward number 21 was good also...

My population theory was sarcasm.

I know a lot changes between under 14 etc and minor. Therefore i ask u jinxie what is the best gauge of how minor teams will perform?
If it isnt their performances at lower ages i dunno what else. Do enlighten us...

Royal half back i happened to watch the pats v ashbourne game in the league. Pats had half a team out and won by 7 or 8 points so your comment is ridiculous considering their in a leinster semi final after great victories against moate and good counsel and have a great chance of winning a leinster this year

If you want a guage as to how either Meath or Louth may perform in the Leinster championship, then you keep an eye on how they are doing in the league before it!
The next closest thing is to base it on how many of the previous years panel is there & if they are/were vital players, if theres a large selection of these still there it helps.
Certainly more of an insight than an u14 or u15 game 3 or 4 years ago where the only thing that wont have changed will be the color of the jersies!

yea no 7 for nobber colours was very good....midfield for nobber were good too...CHF for nobber looks like a good footballer but just kept taking too much outta the ball...when he did pass it he looked good...no 8 for meath was good alright..very athletic player...thats about it cant remember anyone else standing out..there were probably good players there but this 1 off trial thing might not suit them...

i agree wit proevo
dis lark of havin 2 or 3 trials at de start of de year gives no indication of how good a player is. obviously a few will stand out but from my experience these ar the players who dont often pass on de ball. . . in addition some players can be injured or lackin in form or even jus havin a bad day at the office. i think we all kno top players who hav bn overlooked at these trials (morgan frm ashbourne springs to mind frm de minors a few yrs bak).
i believ a process should be in place wher the managers and coaches of the mounty teams should be out scoutin games ( and not only de games der son's ar involved in) as it is my opinion that de manager should kno every player in de county

a great way to gauge a minor team usually is how they get on in the gerry reilly?
