I hear they have quite an easy path with kilkenny 1st then offaly and dont think they meet dublin until the final if they get there. I could be wrong, who would be the main players on that team?

royalhalfback- there no exceptional players that I'm aware of, just some fairly good players (like last year, like the year before, like the year before that). I do not think it is any good hyping as that is something that is creeping into football in general. I read posts on these treads talking about great young players in clubs just to find out that the are average to good players at best.

yea id agree with browncows..theres a lot of good decent players but no exceptional players...like cribbin from kildare or rock from dublin last year...or the cork minor team which i saw up first hand they have some real quality footballers and im sure the likes of kerry, tyrone, galway, mayo have them aswell...what the meath minor management have to do is built a team mentality and get the right team together...get the team playing clever football...thats what they do in the likes of the counties i mentioned...anyway im sure the main minors will come from the best minor clubs this year like dunshauglin, rathoath, simonstown na fianna and o mahonys....then yad have a few from skryne,curraha,...then the few good players from random clubs...how many is there on a minor panel?is it 25 or 30 or what goes on?

Ratoath will probably have 3 or four panelists but they will be hard to pick between Paddy Kennedy, Conor McGill, Gavin Eiffe, Farrell McManus, Cian O'Brien, Bobby O'Brien and Bryan McMahon. O'Brien, McMahon and McGill will be underage another year.
Either way the only obvious 'Trevor Giles' on the team will be Conor Devereaux from Dunshaughlin.

Definately a good bunch of players there to be selected from this year. Have seen the most of them play with there clubs and would rate the likes of Conor Devro, Liam Tolan and Shane Barry very highly.. few decent options from Skyrne for a change - Paddy Fox is one to watch

from looking through this i only noticed one navan o mahonys player, alan forde, and one round towers player, danny mc govern, these lads both play with div 1 teams from u12's........ im sure both clubs have a lot more pusshing for meath minors than just one player??

yea id say three of them lads will be on the meath minors...farrell mcmanus, cian o brien and bobby o brien for the bench probably because hes a bit young but maybe pushing for a start...yea frenchy alan forde is the only o mahonys player id say good enough to get on the panel

They have the potential to win a leinster at least and push on from there.. the manager would want to be sure of the players he picks as for a number of years lads have made the panel because they have connections to team management..so really the best players from every club should be given a chance..
