Well patrique - he just won 3 premierships and a champs league playing him there

Yes indeed.

Firstly I read the Real Exit thread and no-one rates leagues any more, you now all agree with me.

Secondly, they won ONE CL in those 3 years, due to John Terry slipping and a bit of luck against ten men in the game itself.

Now with me as manager, I reckon we could have won 3 in a row.

Just think Rooney is wasted at left back.

I am bemused that you seem to believe that the Spanish league is superior to the English PL. You imply that it is more difficult to score in the Spanish league and you rationalise this by comparing players who left the English PL and went to the Spanish PL and then comparing the amount of goals they have scored in their previous and current season respectively. However you seem very selective in the players that you pick i.e Ronaldo. You fail to recognise the flops that have been in England but who seem to prosper in Spain, such as Diego Forlan, Reyes, McCarthy, Kanoute, Acquilani. Remember it works both ways.

His manager managed to stop him for 3 years.

Mind you, unlike Dell, I think Rooney is better than the Portuguese Ronaldo.

Sorry dell, I know Ronaldo is your hero, and you love him, just my opinion.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh its like watching a Rolls Royce engine purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring. The Roo just keeps ticking along.

Got to say Messi did well last night, Vgood hat-trick by the lad. But to for behind for me this season. Ronaldo got kicked off the park again last night also. He's getting some treatment in Spain. He'll be back in England yet, the kid is getting absolutely no protection at all. Its was brutal at times.

on ratio again messi is way ahead of rooney. when the spanish league catches up on the english league on games and when rooney and messi have played roughly the same amount of games by the end of the season, messi will easily be ahead.

well if ronaldo was actually as good as messi as many people claim, then he wouldnt have that problem. messi gets man marked by more people when he's playing but is nearly impossible to catch and stop when he's dribbling. remember the champions league final last year. two players take him out of it, yet messi still gets up and is away with the ball. on a different planet to ronaldo

Why pick on me?

Everyone KNOWS the Spanish league is superior.

No one has won 70% of ANY league, except the premiership.

Even Scotland is more competitive.

maybe it shows the strength and consistancy of the team. not the weakness of the league. dont tell anyone though because wouldnt want people to think a league with say the top 2 20 points ahead of the rest isnt competitive..

In 15 games against Liverpool Wayne has scored ONE goal, way back in 2005.

In 9 games against Everton he has scored ONE goal.

So 24 games against the Scousers, and two goals.

Trying too hard?

as of 17th of march rooney has 32 goal in 38 games, messi has 31 in 37. not sure if that takes inot account messis 2 the other nite but theres very little between them in ratio. messi is playing in a league with worse defnces though. i see the great man himself ronaldo has quite a good ratio, 22 goals in 23. but a we'v been told on here he cant really play football

I think Drogba has the best ratio but player of the year by a mile is Darren Bent.

wow speedy really. he's ahead of messi on ratio for the first time in how many years?

you say the spanish leagues defence is rubbish and then claim ronaldo has 22 in 23 games or something similar. yet you purposefully fail to mention 6 came in the champions league group stages v nothing teams.

messi is ahead of ronaldo in goals scored in the spanish league and on ratio aswell. and he'll pass him out on overall ratio aswell by the end of the season. how far was ronaldo ahead on ratio at the start of the season, and how far is he behind now. he's nearly caught him right up and will once AGAIN pass him out

Ronaldo has FOURTEEN goals, including 6 penalties.

I think I would score 40 in England against the like of Gary Caldwell and the countdown bloke from Burnley.

you said he was way ahead of rooney. this season he isnt. i was chatting about goals to games ratio in general with the stats i gave. ronados ratio is better than messis this season full stop you cant change that. they play in the same league and same champions league. ronaldo is scoring 1 goal every 1.05 games, messi is 1 every 1.19. doesnt make messi bad just shows ronaldo is quite good even if he's playing against bad defences alot of the time in the league. messi and ronaldo also have the advantage of playing for 2 teams that are comically better tahn the rest of their league, some of the premiership teams are actually within 15 or 20 points of the top teams. its the biggest and best league in the world :)

Yea, three npow, scoring a rebound from a penalty.

What a guy, Pele, Maradona, george, Cruff and the rest couldn't do that.

Oh, they didn't miss the penalty in the first place.

Pity they didn't have the dosh to keep Tevez, he is quite good at them.

"doesnt make messi bad just shows ronaldo is quite good even if he's playing against bad defences alot of the time in the league."

how so? messi has scored more in the spanish league. again this proves what im saying. you intentionally say ronaldo has a better ratio to messi, and then imply he's got these goals in the spanish league hoping you wont get caught out. messi has scored more goals in the spanish league before his hat trick yesterday and had a better ratio than ronaldo, and now he's just pulled further away after yesterdays performance. messi's also catching up to him in the champions league. on paper ronaldos goal return against european minnows looked good, but its now being shown up for the farce it is. looks are deceiving.

how many assists does ronaldo have? again this backs up messi is an all round far superior player

what are you basing the premiership is better than la liga on. overall the spanish league is far superior. european results and achievments for the smaller spanish teams over the last number of years back this up.

the premiership is full of hatchet men and donkey workhorses. maybe the rest of the average teams are within 20 points of the premiership leaders as chelsea, united, and arsenal are also average. go back and take a look at barcas and madrids whole squads and you'll see the gulp in class
