I was watching his performance against bolton and i have rarely seen a central midfielder who influences a game so much. He is surely the best midfielder in the league at the moment?

The best midfielder in the premiership by some distance, especially now that he has added goals to his game. If Wenger can keep him fit Arsenal will go far in Europe and will be there or thereabouts at the end of the PL season. They may need to buy a striker before the window closes though...

Fredrickwood, the only thing that prevents him from being the best is that he does not play for Utd !! If he did he would be the best !! Can the Utd fans not see past their noses at all. If there is one thing that makes them all united is their inability to see anything out of Old Trafford as being any good at all. Personally i could not give a rats **** about it but from reading these boards daily i find it easy to understand why Man Utd fans are not liked !!

is this the same euros where spain went long spells without creating anything so were forced to bring fabregas on in every game to turn it around, which he did each time. his great performances earned him a starting spot in the final or did you miss that part fred. he should have been on for the whole tournament. it was a disgrace he wasnt

Like I said Slasher - all of it. You obviously do not read my posts, as I'm a Utd fan, and I dont fit into your generalisation of "all" utd fans.

And the problem with Patrique is that his posts specifically DO NOT INCLUDE FACT/TRUTH in them. But as he hates utd too, you lap them up because you want them to be true. Its actually embarrassing how easily swayed you are by the bitter city fan.

This thread is a perfect example of how bitter some people are. The thread is about Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal, yet predictably, like every other thread about soccer on here, certain people insist on making it into an ABU thread. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so frustrating.

Would fred have been allowed his opinion if he supported anyone else? Of course he would.

Calm down Breffni, people were just responding to fredrickwood's factually incorrect post. There were similar posts on a thread about Steven Gerrard from other Man United fans - things like "Gerrard wouldn't even get into United's midfield" etc. Not all Man United fans are as biased and bitter as fredrickwood, but many are. Cavan_Slasher was correct, if Fabregas was playing for United fredrickwood and the prawn sandwich brigade would be proclaiming him the greatest midfielder since Alfredo DiStefano. This failure to awknowledge the talent and skill of players from other clubs by many Man United fans is why neutral observers have a dislike for all things United (it is not limited to United fans by the way, but some Man United fans on this board are pretty bad for it).
