I apologise for my comment. It was in bad form. A few too many beers. But the thread was meant in good humour. And I thought some of the other stats were actually more interesting. Anyway good luck to the Dubs. And ironically I do cheer you on. And I will have a nephew playing for you, maybe not this year but definitely next year. Pudders - How do we know they were non dubs? I mean isn't it possible that maybe they had stayed in the capital just a bit too long and all of a sudden they sounded like they're selling apples on Henry Street? NavyNBlue (Dublin) - Posts: 1357 - 21/01/2010 13:05:54 538855 Link 0 |

KK, don't bother. Allegedly we are not a true GAA county if you believe half the people on here becuse of our attitude to football. But there isn't a hope of an apology for that comment. Puddersthecat (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1692 - 21/01/2010 13:41:01 538905 Link 0 |

omaghtheredhand i am just trying to prove a point that when people abuse us dubs and when we defend dublin we are told sure were only having the craic sure look at the title of this thread it explains it my point , do you honestly believe that i would think that about any county what i said ,unlike a lot of posters here i respect all counties and all sports hipster (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 21/01/2010 17:15:56 539163 Link 0 |

Hipster has a point here, it is seen as fair game and a bit of a laugh to post jibes at everything Dublin, but when its the other way around its a different kettle of fish altogether. Pudds pathetic rant proved that point. Good work Hipster. PJ (None) - Posts: 2288 - 21/01/2010 17:45:23 539207 Link 0 |
i actually posted a cavan thread which the admins wouldn't put through on the same lines with a link to cavan gaa talking about a press report on violence...... Puddersthecat (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1692 - 21/01/2010 18:06:58 539236 Link 0 |
Like i have said in a previous thread, Gaa is a parochial game, if Mayo won the AI with the majority of the players not from Mayo, i would truthfully not take great satisfaction in it.Dublins early AI wins are seriously congested with non natives.Dubs and other enthusiasts who choose to write history to suit can paint any way they want the facts are there.I would go as far to say that Dublin natives lack in the genetic make up of natural footballers in comparison to there country cousins. People will shout back about the likes of tompkins and other cases of players playing 4 different counties other than their own, but surly that cant be compared to a whole bloody team, its riduculous and while it would be silly to suggest stripping them of the said AI s i think it should be highlighted. 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 21/01/2010 18:44:03 539279 Link 0 |
Puddersthecat, its a pity they didn't post the Cavan thread as i would have enjoyed a bit of banter with you !! The trouble with some people is that they are too sensitive and take things far too seriously. These boards are a bit of light relief in a humdrum world and should treated as such !!
