Should Dublin have a couple of Sams deducted?

I apologise for my comment. It was in bad form. A few too many beers. But the thread was meant in good humour. And I thought some of the other stats were actually more interesting. Anyway good luck to the Dubs. And ironically I do cheer you on. And I will have a nephew playing for you, maybe not this year but definitely next year.

538362 yes pud i do and pj is a great dub poster , as for kilkenny another county that does not have the gaa ethos at heart a bit like tyrone

Would you do me the courtesy of explaining what you actually mean by this statement?

Yeah I agree GAA ethos at heart??

Is that because we are successful that we are being punished? (not being Condescending)

Pudders - How do we know they were non dubs? I mean isn't it possible that maybe they had stayed in the capital just a bit too long and all of a sudden they sounded like they're selling apples on Henry Street?
Makes you wonder if the GPA was around back then, for all we know they were enticing people from the country to move to the pale for the promise of 5 potatoes and 2 carrots - big money back in those days
This thread has me questioning if I really am a Dub at all!!!

Ok Puds, no harm done, but considering your earlier statement about Dubs drinking beer, and your subsequent post above....I sure hope you werent wearing a premiership jersey when you wrote it.............cos if you were.........i am calling Alanis Morrisette!!!!

KK, don't bother. Allegedly we are not a true GAA county if you believe half the people on here becuse of our attitude to football. But there isn't a hope of an apology for that comment.

32 and counting.

I don't need to get involved in this, but I think fair is fair. The title of this thread was so obviously tongue in cheek and intended to have a bit of craic. Some people failed to see the funny side and a number of posts were major over-reactions. Pudders has apologised for his comments on Dublin and I think you should apologise for your comments on Tyrone.

As bad as pudders comment was, he has apologised for it and said many complimentary things about Dublin. You on the other hand have yet to apologise and have said nothing good about anyone.

Hipster has a point here, it is seen as fair game and a bit of a laugh to post jibes at everything Dublin, but when its the other way around its a different kettle of fish altogether. Pudds pathetic rant proved that point. Good work Hipster.

Like i have said in a previous thread, Gaa is a parochial game, if Mayo won the AI with the majority of the players not from Mayo, i would truthfully not take great satisfaction in it.Dublins early AI wins are seriously congested with non natives.Dubs and other enthusiasts who choose to write history to suit can paint any way they want the facts are there.I would go as far to say that Dublin natives lack in the genetic make up of natural footballers in comparison to there country cousins. People will shout back about the likes of tompkins and other cases of players playing 4 different counties other than their own, but surly that cant be compared to a whole bloody team, its riduculous and while it would be silly to suggest stripping them of the said AI s i think it should be highlighted.

Puddersthecat, its a pity they didn't post the Cavan thread as i would have enjoyed a bit of banter with you !! The trouble with some people is that they are too sensitive and take things far too seriously. These boards are a bit of light relief in a humdrum world and should treated as such !!
