Interesting point southern dandy! Paul Bealin of 95 team's Da is Wicklow man. Sean Doherty of 70s was born in Wicklow and the Timmons of the 50s and 60s played for Wicklow before Dublin although they were from around Saggart as far as I know on the Dublin side of the county border. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 19/01/2010 08:45:53 536664 Link 0 |
In 1902, Bray Emmets won the All-Ireland. And what county is Bray in? Wicklow. But what county did they represent? Dublin! Minus another All-Ireland for the Dubs. Loyal2TheRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 4522 - 19/01/2010 11:48:49 536825 Link 0 |
I see Cavan are after poaching a young Dublin Footballer, now if Cavan win Sam this year surely they'll have to give it back. PJ (None) - Posts: 2288 - 19/01/2010 12:21:48 536857 Link 0 |
And lets not forget all the Dubs, Leitrim, Mayo and Cavan men who played with Meath ;) hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 19/01/2010 12:23:48 536860 Link 0 |

Ok, just to put a bit of order on things. Everyone seems to be agreed that the 1906 and 1907 wins should not count due to the lack of dubs on the dubs team! There also seems to be a growing swell of support to have the 1995 all ireland handed to tyrone as well due to charlie redmond refusing to leave the field and also canavan's late point being wrongly disallowed. I would also suggest that the 1983 title should be taken back off them as well due to the disgraceful carry-on of their players that day. How many genuine all irelands have they now? whiterbannnas (Mayo) - Posts: 2441 - 19/01/2010 14:35:45 537068 Link 0 |

a typical small minded so and so who started this thread and then who backed him up if yous bothered to read your history books yous would understand dublin gaa and yous would not be filled with the hatred that yous are filled with, and it does not wash with me when yous abuse and insult dublin and irish gaa people that its only a bit of craic , dublin is the easy target for yous to attack it unites yous and thats just sad hipster (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 19/01/2010 16:57:43 537287 Link 0 |
Leave the Dubs alone, don't they provide us with great weekends out when we visit the capital to annex Sam annually. The Dubs are an essential part of the GAA, even if some of their players are of an integrated 'county' background. lostintime (USA) - Posts: 533 - 19/01/2010 20:34:48 537553 Link 0 |
