Is it confirmed for ardee? if so why the question mark squid?

I will travel if its in ardee, but refuse to go any where else with the price a green diesel these days.

Athlone will be very strong, I here a "reputable" bookie has them installed as fovourites for the sigerson.

Keep your stupid comments to yourself Bull. Athlone are a poor team and they are not favourites for the sigerson cup. Louth and Athlone are evenly matched but Athlone should win. The game is not in ardee as it is fixed for the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda.

This game should have be played in Ardee for two reasons;

1.It would have suited Athlone IT giving it geographical location;

2. Louth need to be playing all their games on the pitch which will soon be the new home of Louth GAA.

fatman are you serious? athlone will not beat louth. i can guarantee a win for louth by at least 10 points. It seems fatman that you want to put louth down in any way possible. louth are no great team but we are a division 3 team and honestly when you would make a comment that london could beat louth then you can not be taken seriously. If you are from louth then you would have louth listed as your county rather than monaghan. If you have no other purpose than to put louth down then stick to the monaghan page. On another note ollie has the game been confirmed for drogheda at 2.00 pm?

So Drogheda, 10+ pt win if last Sundays team out. Then a Game against Kildare or Laois, win that, a big one aginst Meath or Dublin ! Could do with those types of games with the run up to Wexford game.

It's nice to see that Drogheda is getting these type of training games which helps to save our other venues for the games that matter.

You would have to expect a double digit winning margin after last Sunday and the win over Meath on the 3rd.

Squid, once you start expecting things from Louth, expect to be disappointed. I'll stick with my prediction.

Same team will start against Athlone IT as started against Wicklow with Mark Brennan included on the bench .

This game should be an easy win for louth, il have to agree with Squid and go for a 10+ point winning margain.
Historically Athlone would be one of the poorest 3rd level teams. Its a wonder they are even allowed enter the Sigerson as they frequently exit at the first round stage.
However, it must be pointed out that while Louth could not train in the months of November and December, the college teams were free to train as much as they like. As a result we can expect the fitness levels and sharpness of the Athlone players to be much better than louth.
Apart from that i wouldnt know much about Athlone, do they have any county players?

If louth start with the same team as the Wicklow game (as reported above) i would be disapointed. I feel all the players who didnt start the last game should be started against Athlone. Are louth the only conty who insist on playing a strong team in these compititions? while every other county attempts to blood new players.
I would expect any 15 that Fitzer would put ou to have way to much firepower.
