If you could take 3 players from other teams to strengthen your team, who would you take. I would take tomas o shea, paddy bradley and dessie dolan. These would strengthen any team. Dont see an exceptional fullback around though. Has anyone a good Fullback in mind. Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 11/06/2008 14:48:58 31316 Link 0 |

cant think of a full back either, but would certainly have Bradley and O Se and Sean Kavanagh to strengthen my Down team. wouldn't mind Meehan from Galway or Seanie Johnston for that matter Suas Sios (None) - Posts: 1558 - 11/06/2008 15:23:17 31357 Link 0 |

Barry Owens FB,Dessie Dolan RHF and Nicholas Murphy( as stand-by midfielder) if Darragh or Seamus are injured or off form. No disrespect to Nickolas as he is in the top 4 in the country. Real Kerry Fan (None) - Posts: 2957 - 11/06/2008 16:05:11 31420 Link 0 |

i wouldnt like to have some of ye as county managers !!!!! you get a choice of any 3 players to improve your team and most of you dont pick gooch( the besy footballer in the country by a distance), mindboggling. gooch is on a different level to all others and is the key player in the kerry set up,you cant not pick him. broken arrow (Limerick) - Posts: 104 - 11/06/2008 23:47:35 31598 Link 0 |

dubsforsam....- you are correct that dubs backs arent great, and any 2 of the 3 you named would improve your team, however in most sports all the top teams are fairly close , it is that one or two players in a team that can separate them from the others, despite what some ppl think i would say about 12 of the current kerry team are more or less the same as the best players in all the other top teams, it is the likes of a gooch that makes the difference. he is as good a forward as i have ever seen over the last 40 years, aside from his clearly brillent skill levels, it is his speed of though and reading of game that is his greatest asset. my point is your 3 new defenders would make dubs a better team but proberly still not a all ire winning team, however 2 of those defenders plus the gooch would bring sam to dublin. as for the longford guy that thinks gooch is overated, well there is no point trying to get into tht head. broken arrow (Limerick) - Posts: 104 - 12/06/2008 12:16:31 31802 Link 0 |
