If what is said is true Burt got game off because they had players working then the fixtures this year are in trouble, every club can claim that and no games go ahead to suit clubs..who on the county made the decision to call off the game..and i note that in the rule book no rule states you have 4 days or any days notice for league Fact..Now who called the game off is the question and why, I hope it was ccc as our club will be saying we have guys working when stag wedding or hangover weekends happen. Or was it an exception for Burt if so why???? did i read somewhere 6 players were in liverpool in december shopping...if they were true gaels they would have played the game and shopped in the republic..support your local shops and towns

you have to admire burt for being a dual club and the county board should be encouraging hurling in the county BUT Burt should not be abusing the flexibility of the county board and the other clubs, if they play by the rules they will find clubs will try to accomodate them.
Players should not be playing games in december or Janurary the season is long enought. The county board need to look at the fixture schedule

Burt are a disgrace full stop.
Dual Club ok. But so is eunans, four master, buncrana, McCools etc They dont hold up all leagues.

THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME.

Earlier this year they played a club in the league in Burt.
Later in the year they were fixed to play the same club in the league. Everyone even the cats and dogs on the street knew Burt were away from home (as they already played this team at home) but they got the game replayed on a technically that the game appear in democrat showing burt at home..WHAT A JOKE.

The reason they didnt play is the players played kilmacud crokes and went on the beer.

But eunans have 1 daul player, four master have 0, buncrana maybe 1/2, aodh raudh have 0, McCools have 2/3, Setanta have 3/4 playing for red hughs

Burt have 11/12 dual players

out of the 6 club about 10 players are dual, and you say these clubs dont hold up the leagues, why would they hold up the leagues with them players
2/3 players cant get a game called off but 11/12 can

in fairness the county board messed up bad. but what im trying to say is that the game should be played on the field. newtown v burt one last time winner take all. thats the way to finish this on the pitch not were itl end up which will be croke park making a decision. but if newtown are feard well what can you do

I think Newtown deserve to go up..They turned up and Burt didnt..But I hope Burt go up.

DIVISION 4 dont want the **** they brought to the table last year..delayed everything.

And from an outsiders position. I think Newtown are a better team

Anyways,

From a personal point of view I'd like to see both promoted. Newton because they deserve it and Burt because I don't want to be personally involved in league fixtures in November next year. With less teams in the division it will hopefully be played off on schedule and we won't have the ridiculous situation where teams have 5 week breaks in the summer like my own did last year.
