looking at the previous results newtown have been the better team ,beating them in league and championship when it counted,so they do deserve to go up ,i only seen them playin once and that was the last game in newtown ,which the home team were on top all over the field..
i was disapointed today when i arrived late at the game to see at least 200 Spectors ,a refree and his two lines men ,and only one team on the field ,THAT BEING N.COLMCILLE.
They get the points win the playoff and play intermedidate along with downings next year ........

Congratulations to N.Colmcille. They fully deserve to go up. Burt are an insult to the division. They applied themsleves very poorly this year and underestimated the division. The standard of football this year in the divison has significantly dropped this year and it is a worrying trend. Muff, Burt, Newtown, Red Hughs, Robert Emmets were all in with a shout of promotion but by god I'd say they are relieved they didnt go up because they are not good enough to stay up.

Newtown definitely did not have the most talented group of players but they had desire, commitment and belief in their manager. Fair play.

Congratulations to Naomh colmcille,just heard they were awarded promotion yesterday after burt failed to field, never even showed up at castlefinn with all officals in place.Its the third attempt to play the game were weather conditions had no part to play.What action will Co.board take??????.Can see this headed for croke park,may-be county board will get a slap on the wrists for the way this matter has been pushed to the one side.time will tell. Naomh colmcille get ready for division three,it'll take more than Barry o'hagan to pull you's out week in week out.Although it obvious Stephen friel has worked wonders with a panel that were whipping boy's two years ago.Is it true he canceled his holidays to make way for this game,talk about commitment thats whats needed from all to maintain divison three status.

Seen in the paper today a Burt spokesman stated they couldn't field yesterday because of 'work commitments'. Who goes back to work on a Bank Holiday? Maybe the fella who's prancing about on Irelands Got Talent. Absolute bull. They should be thrown out of the league. Held it up all year and don't even show for the play offs. Muff would give their right arm to have been in that play off. Fair play to Newton though they kept their part of the bargain. Think it has come a season or two early for them though, still a lot of young players there. They'll do well to win four games. All the best to them though, an honest bunch of players.

burt let themselves down badly, no respect for their neighbours. Heard a few rumours to make me think newton can cause a few upsets in div3 next year contrary to what i had thought before, i think they have the ability to be a senior club within 3 years

Well done newton use desreve it fair play. Burt deserve to be where they are they have no respect for the game or any other club. Was'nt the 1st time they messed about this year. They did it all year and the county board let them away with it every time.

I Read the Donegal peoples press statement from the burt official today in which he states Sunday is the only day burt can play, I'm wondering will they field a Hurley team this year as there won't be enough sundays in the year for them to play both games.

Naomh Colmcille deserve to go up Burt have only made fools of themselves. Love bit in the donegal peoples press about "Work" considering Naomh Colmcille played them last year on a bank holiday Monday in May suited them then and the self employed people would of been self employed back then too. It was also very unfair of the Burt management team to make there supporters travel to Castlefin after the supporter texted them in the morning to wish them good luck!!

How in the name of God is that harsh Democrat? I think its pretty accurate to be honest. Ask any team who has played Burt this year and the majority will agree with me.

I'll tell you what is harsh though, Burt not even having the decency to inform Newton or the officials that they weren't fulfilling the fixture. Could have saved the Newton team and supporters alot of money in these tough economic times.
