A bit of realism lads - ok the county board should have got their fixtures in order a long time ago but c'mon, we can't go blaming them for the freak weather we've been having these past few weeks. Why is it the culture in this country that we always feel we have to blame somebody...??

i would think guys ,that if n colmcille do win the play off ,which i think they will ,that there aim will be to stay up and get developed not to win it ....
So there game is fixed for boxing day,its not really fair on the players as its been a long season ......best of luck to both teams ,newtown men by 5 points...

I don't think Newtown would realistically fancy their chances against the top 3 in Division 3 but they don't need to!!! If they can win the games against the teams in the bottom half and consolidate their Div 3 status for a year to gain experience then that would be enough. Same would go for Burt if they get promotion, the first priority has to be to stay up!!

thats a fair point, might even give their younger players a chance to develop i do think they have some quality young players through the middle of their team

While the snow and ultra cold temperatures are obviously the primary reason that this game has not been played over the past while, I do feel that Burt should be taken to task for holding up the division by not playing their games when scheduled to do so. Perhaps if Newtown were awarded promotion on this basis, we wouldn't have a situation whereby Burt didnt fulfill their fixtures on time in the future

pre season will be startin again before either team knows what standard they are playing in the spring this is a disgrace may be this time next year before they get a good break for either side or maybe summer time for burt if posts on here are to be believed
