Downings haven't won the league yet, They still have to play the league final. Still don't agree with this format...If you finish top of the league you should be league champions. Top two should go up and bottom two go down. We should scrap this promotion - relegation playoff structure and the league final!! I think it was changed lads, I think the top team go up as Champions now!I agree that this is a much better structure!I think that third and second spot play off for the second promotion spot!!I could be wrong but I heard this earlier in the year. anyone else hear that? Chemel, i think you are correct there, The rule was changed approx a year ago and this is first year to implement it. Whoever finishes top of league, wins the league, 2nd and 3rd playoff for promotion. Congrats to Downings, good work put in there over last 2-3 years. Is their much of a chance of play-offs for 2nd and 3rd, something like 5 teams on 22 points. Could get confusing!!! 81DLSAM (Donegal) - Posts: 281 - 11/10/2010 12:52:52 794150 Link 0 |
who is going to get 2nd &3rd spot ? laganvally (Donegal) - Posts: 488 - 11/10/2010 18:57:24 794532 Link 0 |
RE ryanvalley.. Your reverse psychology nearly has people fooled.. Naomh Colmcille think this is their year.. They have 22 points and a game in hand.. I think it would be disastrous for them if they went up as they dont have the structures in place to push on BoomBoomPow (Donegal) - Posts: 40 - 11/10/2010 19:47:43 794575 Link 0 |

The Fixtures board are at it again!! I see they have Newtown to play RE at 6 on sunday evening in the reserve league. Imagine the excitement in Newtown if the win the county final at 3pm yet they expect fella's to leave all the celebrations to head to play a reserve game at 6pm. You just have to laugh at the people who come up with this sort of thing!! Tir Conaill Abu (Donegal) - Posts: 1677 - 12/10/2010 11:50:26 794864 Link 0 |
Looks like I'm the clown, been told the reserve game is on Saturday!! Good look to both teams in The County Final on Sunday by the way, not sure how it'll go!! Tir Conaill Abu (Donegal) - Posts: 1677 - 12/10/2010 11:54:10 794867 Link 0 |

Muff 1-14 Tir Conaill Abu (Donegal) - Posts: 1677 - 13/10/2010 14:24:42 795594 Link 0 |
If Muff avoid giving away silly frees they'll win it by 4-5 points. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9785 - 13/10/2010 14:26:11 795597 Link 0 |
If OHagan only gets the frees he deserves and not all the handy ones then Muff will win. If its the other way around a N.C win. Norman (Donegal) - Posts: 382 - 13/10/2010 15:54:14 795676 Link 0 |
Damien Diver will roll back the years and edge victory to Muff. Declan McLaughlin, Mark Duffy and Aidan Lynch are all quality forwards. There's no comparison between them and Ryan McErlean, Ciaran Callaghan and McKinleys brother in my opinion. BoomBoomPow (Donegal) - Posts: 40 - 13/10/2010 17:03:31 795756 Link 0 |
