Could someone tell me in whos mind are saul favourites to go up?? Favourites have to be Darragh Cross or Glassdrumman. Saul favourites = no chance!!

Football_Hurling - Saul had there man dismissed with 5 minutes left to play, not 5 minutes gone in the game! Carryduff deserved nothing from that game after a poor display, but no doubt playing against 14 men for the last few minutes allowed them to get something out of the game.

lets get serious and stop talking rubbish saul will never be a big club no matter how good there are under age 90% will more than likely quit after minor and never make it to senior same with most club only a few go on to play senior football

GAA99- Losing loads of players at that age sounds like most clubs. This is the age most kids move on for whatever reason, this is not just Saul. Saul are doing great work under age and thay will reap the benifits in the years to come, mind you it takes 10 to 20 years to se the full benifit of good under age work.

we are home to glasdrumman on fri nite, if we win that we will have made a good start to the league and have played the majority of the stronger teams. I see glasdrumman hammerred a weakened ardglass team last week but they only beat drumaness by 4. So hopefully we will have a right good rattle at them on friday. Darragh and drumgath is another big game its down for tomorrow evening.

Saul know that the development of their club is a long process. Saul didn't get off to the best start though, getting beat by Daragh and Bosco, but have got going now with a draw against Carryduff. Hard game against Glasdrumman on Friday! Lets see how it goes

Rooney wise up! Look at the clubs in division 4. Soo much worse than Saul.
Yes Eddie Harney has made Saul what it is today, and fair play to him!

So much for the club on the rise they were slaughtered by 16 points by Glasdrumman last night and could have been more had Glasdrumman taken more chances, the ref not been from neighbours Bright and given them soft frees and a soft penalty (Which was driven over the bar).

Saul have very mixed teams with the seniors usually poor, yet the under 16s are not bad and the minors have couple of good players. is this due to a small catchment area of the underage set-up?

Lets be honest Glasdrumman are defo going up! They played amazing, and saul played really bad. They wont get relegated, just off to a bad start. Bredagh away next week, we'll see what happens!

I agree they must be some team to lose by 16 pts at home! What has happened to most of the boys who played division two football? I remember saul being a young team when they were in division two, have they lost many players?

Lets be honest Saul were poor. Did you see the match? They started off well and lead by 3, but Connor Harrison got 2 quick goals and he was too much to handle. They played brilliant while Saul played very poor. Saul's team consists of people who around 25 years and older, but they have a few 16 year olds on the team aswell, such as Mullen and the two Arnolds and young Cunningham
