Bottles, We have more than one good player. Don't be ridiculous. In fact, we have young lads you in Micklow could only dream about. Lads like Dan St Ledger, Shane Redmond, Cormac Mullins, Mark Davis, Alan Callinan, Dennis Murphy, Sean Gannon, Daragh Foley and Bill O'Connor. Most of them were on the minors of 07 who thrust themselves into an All-Ireland last 8. A long time since Micklow reached a Leinster Minor Final and an even longer time since you won a Leinster Senior (ie. never!) so relax there will ya? We have fine older players too like Mark Carpenter, John Hayden, Simon Rea, John Murphy, JJ Smith and Kieran Nolan. I think if you had 15 good players Micko wouldn't be so determined to get Walshe on board. It shows what he thinks of your own native players that he seeks a Carlow man to play midfield for Micklow. Carlow have an excellent local manager in Luke Dempsey, who knows our scene inside out and he is building a young team which will press a few years hence. The start of that challenge will be beating out lot out of the gate of Wexford Park this summer ;) TAFKANO1FAN (Carlow) - Posts: 588 - 12/01/2010 14:19:08 530881 Link 0 |
Any idea where the match will be my Carlow friend ? sponger (Wicklow) - Posts: 2953 - 12/01/2010 16:45:15 531085 Link 0 |
My Carlow friend them players are all good but you have to admit we have much more quality player with Glynn,Furlong,Stafford and etc.. Even if Thomas Walshe doesn play for us this season Mickey English is back and he has lots off quality and would be well able for any midfielder in the Carlow anyway aboys (Wicklow) - Posts: 61 - 12/01/2010 20:03:21 531448 Link 0 |

Stanley, I don't really care what Thomas Walshe does. At this stage he's been gone for two years and is yesterday's man. However, I have merely been pointing out that he can't play for Wicklow this year. There is, once again, no way the Leinster Council will let him transfer back to Wicklow again. His transfer back to Fenagh and Carlow in the summer shows he's living in Carlow so it won't fly. TAFKANO1FAN (Carlow) - Posts: 588 - 13/01/2010 12:24:03 531755 Link 0 |
Its going to be hard to top last year......to improve we have to get to a Leinster semi or an All Ireland quarter. sponger (Wicklow) - Posts: 2953 - 13/01/2010 16:52:26 532084 Link 0 |
Sponger I can assure you that we would like nothing more than to make ye eat humble pie this summer and i expet that we will do that too. Lets hope that renegade is playing for ye. Now that would be the icing on the cake. After the pie of course. dead_as_dodos (Carlow) - Posts: 459 - 13/01/2010 17:59:44 532210 Link 0 |
Supersub how could you possibly wish good luck to someone who has treated his native co. with such distain. I wonder are you a Carlowman at all,and if you are its no wonder ye are in such a mess with supporters like you. bandwagon09 (Wicklow) - Posts: 48 - 14/01/2010 12:49:11 532692 Link 0 |

Supersub that sounds like a kopout reply to me. How can you possibly say that it will be accepted by all concerned. The man has dragged ye thru the mire and psychologically he has done ye untold damage. Whatever row he had with board he had no reason to treat ye like he has for the last three years. Iknow that if a Wicklowman had done a similar act I would never forgive him let alone be so sanguine about it as you seem to be.Hear things not going too well for Dempsey over there and to tell you the truth im not surprised. Ye seem to accept that ye are hopeless and are not prepared to do anything about it. Rem. its only a few years since ye hammered us in Wexford and just look at your performances since , they have been pathetic and what have they coincided with? Go figure! bandwagon09 (Wicklow) - Posts: 48 - 16/01/2010 12:23:23 534543 Link 0 |

bandwagon09,- you seem to caught up in cyeber spac with no sense of direction, you say we were psychologically damaged, firstly theres no case to answer there, anyway we're more resilient than that, as for Luke no case to answer there either everyone is happy, including Luke, then you say we seem to be hopeless, seem to be and being are two different things, we know better. You go on to freely admit that we hammered ye a short few years ago in Wexford thats correct, but didn't we also hammer ye last year, so nothing has changed, and while we're on that word" Hammered" didn't Louth give ye some"Hammering" to day, well I ask you, some things never change, to be quiet honest you were simply PATHETIC, get used to it. supersub15 (Carlow) - Posts: 3203 - 17/01/2010 21:26:04 535527 Link 0 |
