He'll play for Wicklow, it's done and dusted, in fact it never fully went away, the sound bites were comjng through as far back as late last Oct. it's still loose(ish) talk, but just amatter of dotting the i's and crossing the t's, he has the option, and good luck to him.
PS -- If it happens it will be accepted by all concerned, it's going on a long time now, and it's gone a bit boring, Next subject, =====

well said supersub15.. Its the most boring debacle since the Cold War.. I am not bothered if he comes back or not. If he does fair play. If he doesnt we have plenty of lads capable of doing a job in midifeld.. Its Carlow I feel sorry for. At least Brendan Murphy is back and will bring something to your midfield alongside his brother hopefully

At this moment your 50% right, but you may have to go further west to get the other 50%.

I am going to tell you categorically that Walshe will not play for Wicklow this year. He would have to transfer back to a club in the county and there is no way the Leinster Council will be fooled a second time.

By moving back to the Fenagh club, he clearly showed he was resident in Carlow so there is no hope of this one running.

Also, he'd want to be stone mad to play for Wicklow in a year when they have his own county in the first round. A Carlow team with Brendan Murphy centre field. A player who would chew up and spit him out.

If he doesn't want to play for Carlow, fair enough, but any attempt to play for Wicklow again would show him and your county board up big time - and it won't fly.

Carlow seem to be pinning their hopes on Murphy, he is one good player.

Wicklow have 15 of them.

Carlow will try to break play down, keep it tight and use negative tactics to negate Wicklow's superior skill.
