Second County

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Ok, have been reading the thread on the counties people hate. How about the county that people support after their own county? i.e a second county? And why?

Mine is Donegal. Spent a bit of time in the county when i went round Ireland a couple of years ago and loved the rural feel about it all. Complete opposite to Dublin with the urban feel. Just became somewhat attached to Donegal and always hope they do well.

Roscommon. Always had a soft spot for the Rossies and after my own county would always check for their results, can't give a reason, just always found Ros people very friendly and seem to really know their football and for a county with such little success over the years they have fantastic support. Would love to see them get promoted along with ourselves this year.

Longford in the football.

Offaly in the hurling. It used to be Waterford until the players shafted Justin McCarthy

Clare and Galway cos i have family in Clarecastle and Salthill and spent most childhood summers in Salthill. I like to see Dublin doing well while I'm living here.
