Any new faces for O'Bryne Cup?

Aboys, I'm well aware of Alan Nolan's club form. Very good. However, I've yet to see him translate this onto the inter-county scene. Some players are like that. I'd rate him better than Power also (especially as Power is heavily injured and unavailable.) I can't see Nolan doing a better job at full back than Dara O hAnnaidh. And I don't think the Nolan - Glynn comparison is valid as Leighton is in a different league to Alan Nolan.

That was Alans first year last season it was nerves that got to him it wont matter now as him and Micko fell out last season so he wont be playing anyway... I think this season he would off been more ready for it... Do you think when Billy Cullen gets back fit he would be worth a go??

i agree that alan nolan has played a few nice games but he has definatly not proved himself at county level in my opinion!!! county football requires complete dedication and a passion for the game which i think alan has to work on....if it can be done! the game against louth, weekend gone showed some great potential i thought, a few nice players despite the lose...any idea who's starting this weekend in carlow?? any of the new players from last year getting a look in??

BABS........ IF you thought you seen any great potential on sunday it just goes to show some ppl on here dont really have a clue about football. any of the new players brought in all got an absolute skinning, the established players still held there own even with weaker players around them but god dont talk about potential after seeing that. what did louths full forward line score? where did they get the idea the that kearns at wing forward is county material?

Early in the season and wouldnt read into Louth match at all , But ! , have to agree that the fullback line in particular who conceded 2-11 didnt look like county standard on the day in question.

Worth giving these guys a second and third chance in the months ahead - dont write off yet . After Micko has raced the legs off them and if they still have the appetite for it they will look a lot better in March , April ..
