In my opinion Michelle Smith's medals and achievements are forever tainted, and she does not deserve to be considered as one of our great sportspeople. I hope Grainne Murphy and others break every single one of her dubious Irish records.

How many of the above are proud holders of Irish passports?

Ireland does passports? Wow. Is there a banana on them?

Lads, take away the North and does "Ireland" have any exceptional sports people? De Bruin, Kelly and Roche, yes, but their sports are dominated by drugs. Mind you what isn't?

And Georgie Best was such a role model!

Oh yeah how is Keith Gillespie these days? ;-) - The premiership? Match fixing and drug taking? No never... Nor snooker neither!!! Poor old Alex...

I suppose we can only regret our passed mistakes and hope we don't pick up anymore bad habits from our colonial abusers such as:

Further expense abuses by elected representatives

Cash for questions

State sponsored murder

Immunity for extreme right wing dictators wanted for arrest by 6 - 7 different democracies
...

I'm running out of space

Have to say that golf, darts, snooker motor biking or cycling or whatever you call it are not sports.Hobbies with skill levels... yes..... sports.. no.Some of the golfers never broke sweat well to be fair some did walking to the greens if there was a slight incline...Darren Clarke, John Daly Colin Montgomery...not as bad as the darts lads but sportsmen??

You brought up the drugs dude!! :D If you can't take it then...

Fine men that they were at their sport but unfortunately both Best and Higgins will sadly be most remembered for their drink and drug abuse! sad but true...

What's even sadder, and I was utterly disgusted by this, is that several people were actually opposed to Best getting treatment on one of his last visits to hospital so enraged were folk at his abuse and the endless chances he had been given.

A sad and shocking way to end that talent...

He won the Waterloo Cup on three occasions, 1868, 1869 and 1871 and was the first greyhound to do so. He became such a celebrity that his owner Lord Lurgan was asked to take him to be seen by Queen Victoria and the Royal Family. His success enabled his owner to build a terrace of houses in Walthamstow from Master McGrath's winnings. These houses now form part of Shernhall Street, but are still clearly marked at one end of the terrace as "Master McGrath Terrace.

523387 Michelle De Bruin, simply for the sport, swimming, alone.

I mean three gold medals? does anyone else come close?

Apart from Pat O'Callaghan and his were spread over a few games.

Was Michelle De Bruin not done 4 ------?
------------------------------
In truth she wasnt duke, all the competitions she competed in and won medals at she was tested and was negative everytime. It was only due to an out of competition test at home which showed signs of tampering, i.e. the alcohol content in the urine-----.

she was pretty good at hide and seek.

Look, can I recommend a bit of h##h for you, keep you chilled man.

Drink and cocaine as enjoyed by Alex and George and many current players are not exactly designed to help you to win.

Now the stuff cyclists take..............

To some.

The first thing to address is was he a Dog, seemingly it was discovered his heart was twice the size as normal for a greyhound, so that would put him in the gazelle category, Thomsoms perhaps. He was born in waterford, bred by a man called James Galwey. but as it was in the 19th century it was part of the british empire, so its hard to fathom his nationality really.
