At the London v Sligo Connacht SFC game a couple of years ago. I was stood on the grass bank that constitutes the main stand at Ruislip and this Sligo fella came wandering along, ticket in hand, asking if anyone knew where seat 543 was! Classic wit!

Blu think that was the 1994 Ulster final or maybe 1996? Paul Donnelly was the Tyrone man in any event, was a funny one alright though presumably not for Mr McCartan!

A couple of years back was playing a league match. The smallest player on our team got into an altercation with a player off the opposite team. He then grabbed the hurl out of his hand and threw it right out of the park into the neighbouring housing estate. It landed on the roof of one of the houses. Everbody was breaking there hearts laughing. He got away with it too.

There is a clip on YouTube of a Dublin fan running on to the pitch in Croker from Hill 16 during a game. He goes to run past a big umpire who just stands in front of him and the fan bounces off him and lands about 10 feet away. Very funny and the Hill creases up in laughter.

one of my mates was playing a pretty insignificant junior hurling match somewhere in the back o beyonds in tipperary.only a about 20 locals at the game as it was fizzling out when out sprung the this lewder from the stand streaking bollock naked!!he ran around for a while but no one really paid any attention to him or laughed.he started making his way over to the far corner of the pitch where a car seemed to be waiting for him,but as soon as he reached it,the car took off!!!!everyone saw it(all 20 or so and the players) and burst into the stitches laughing!!!he then had to walk to the far side of the pitch to get to the dressing room!!!
the only pity was there wasnt more people their to see it.think theres a video of it somewhere but its only starting to do the rounds!!..definition of scarlet!

09KY36: Dunno why, but i'm not aware Kerry have made the trip across to the fortress at Ruislip! ;-) So if they did, all Kingdom fans would have a chance to crack the same funny. And isn't there a theory that Kerry fans don't travel unless its to the A-I Final?! So coming all the way across to London would be highly unlikely!

PS: To all Kerry fans who do not possess a sense of humour: this is a joke and not meant to be taken seriously. We'd love to see the green and gold Footballers at the Emerald Grounds. The hurlers are over here in the spring, so maybe the Footballers can pay a visit soon?! ;-)

Jaysus typical of a Down man who never has been anywhere or done anything, if you are going to tell the story tell it right! You left out the punch-line!

The funny thing about it was that McCartan actually scored a point when he was without his boot.

I was on about the 21 yard line at the Town End looking down at it when it happened - not very funny for a Tyrone Man though.

My funniest moment was when 'Big' Sean Cavanagh knocked Francie 'Beltyou' Bellew half way down Croker in the 2005 Semi-Final. Priceless
