White boats is only for fancy players like me. With the tan and the slick hair with a bita pace along with being a good player. . allstar4 (Donegal) - Posts: 558 - 15/12/2009 17:48:18 514682 Link 0 |

Karl Lacey is another but he can definetly back up this with the talent and 2 all star medals he has. Mugsy has never wore white boots. Is he not under contract with Adidas to wear predators? Ricey McMenamin wears a pair now and again. The big half foward for Kildare wears white boots just to make up for him being bald! Nixon09 (UK) - Posts: 11 - 16/12/2009 10:43:59 515262 Link 0 |
I would believe Gerry McInerney was the first. Babs played part of an All Ireland with no boots which tells its own story but dont remember him with white ones. I believe Gerry Mac had spent a bit of time in the States and he must have got them there. He used to get a bit of friendly (?) abuse because of them. lochgarmanabu (Wexford) - Posts: 1022 - 16/12/2009 11:57:08 515308 Link 0 |
its not about the colour of the boots..its about how good the player in them is... proevo (Meath) - Posts: 296 - 16/12/2009 14:05:10 515418 Link 0 |
This reminds me of a day in castlebar, Mayo v Galway 06, galway went 6 point to one up, Ciaran Mac and Mort had the bleahed hair and white boots on display and had a quiet first half. I ran up to the clubhouse at h/t for a swift one, Brolly absolutley slated the boys called them milkmaids i think. 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 16/12/2009 14:20:50 515436 Link 0 |

whiterbannnas County: Mayo Posts: 1515 514433 dont be so ridiculous westawake09. Mulligan scored one great goal against dublin and has been living off that ever since. I ask you one simple question - what has he done since?? The Mort has been consistently one of the highest scorers in the country. A class act, a rebel and he stands up to bullies what about the replay against dublin he scored 1-5 or that from play, he also got man of the match in that years all ireland final, he may not have hit the same heights since tho he had a good enough year in 2009 an will be better in 2010 as he's started putting football first, maybe mugsys realised that hes 27 now and it wont last forever, btw i rate mortimer as a good player and aint having a swipe at any mayo player. Mortimer spends more time on the ground than he does on his feet,im from mayo and hate to criticise my own players, but he simply isnt as good as Eoin Mulligan,. He mite be top scorer for mayo in the last few championships, majority of his scores are from inside the forty from frees, and i think the mayo forward line played alot better without him dis year. Face facts whiter-bananas-i bet mort wud swap his 1 all-star for any of 3off mulligans ai-medals... westawake09 (Mayo) - Posts: 37 - 16/12/2009 14:32:37 515445 Link 0 |
