Ah yeah but it's not all about the achievements during the year, sure it's PERSONALITY of the year, didn't Beckham even manage to win it one year and his tie probably had more personality than him...

Who says I dislike ManU? Giggs is one of my favourite players ever as well..........

But he hardly deserves this award. He was at the top of his profession ten years ago. Are you seriously saying he was the best soccer player in the UK in 2009, never mind sportsman/sportswoman? Jensen Button and Jessica Ennis who achieved something on a truly world stage and are at the pinnacle of their careers were pushed down into second and third because of this.

Its a disappointing result for the BBC, it also shows how little the British public know. But you never know, maybe Zinedine Zidane will win the French Sports Personality this year.

Yes. Giggs probably had the least personality of the ten as well. Well Beth Tweddle and Andy Murray didn't come across as a bundle of laughs either.
