Hey NL_Shamrocks boy, this is a thread to discuss Limerick minor football not some noticeboard to peddle you advertisement. Our talent at this level is more concentrated on filling out the CAO form than any club transfer papers. whitefire (Limerick) - Posts: 177 - 04/01/2010 22:20:55 524495 Link 0 |
a little bit of info for the misinformed. maurice horan is the manager of the u21footballers & not the minors. he has held some very well attended trials & seems to have a lot of talented players at his disposal. the management of the minor team i,ve heard have done a lot of work in trying to unearth talent in the county & have had some useful trials.word is that they have had minimum support from the co. board & had to get sponsorship for drinks & energy bars from generous shop owners etc.no point in the co. board having a healthy bank balance & not investing in our teams which should be the function of our co. board. good luck to our football teams who are still treated as the poor relations by the co. board. fowler (Limerick) - Posts: 29 - 05/01/2010 19:10:53 525151 Link 0 |
anyone no the team from the challenge match against tipp west18 (Limerick) - Posts: 210 - 05/01/2010 20:43:42 525250 Link 0 |
this minor team has seriouspotentiel with the bulk of it being made up of ncw,,kilmallock and claughan as these being the dominant forces over the last number of years at this age.If this team gets its act together and have forwards with such calibare of Jamie Lee{Newcastle West} a class act from play and placed balls off either foot should be one of main threaths Comeonref (Limerick) - Posts: 27 - 06/01/2010 18:03:38 526092 Link 0 |

Sorry centremid my mistake u seem to know alot about this team what do u think there chances are??? i think they could go a long way with all the players i listed especially if lee, doona and mcgarry hit form 3 class acts at this grade they should rip the waterford backline to pieces!!!! with lee, doona, hannan, mulcahy already seasoned campaigners also ian Corbett in midfield if he is partnerd by Thomas Ryan they should clen up Comeonref (Limerick) - Posts: 27 - 07/01/2010 14:51:29 526844 Link 0 |
comeonref its hard to know how good this team will be... as u can see with sum of da teams put up on this forum there is serious potential.. but i happen to train some members of the pannell and watched the game against tipp and many people tipped as key players were not present.. if the management can get the best players available i beleive they will rip waterford asunder and really challenge cork kerry and tipp for provincial success centremid (Limerick) - Posts: 191 - 09/01/2010 21:59:12 529149 Link 0 |
well centremid to be honest with you i think tat it is an absoloute disgrace that some young fellas dont want to have the honour of representing their county as this could be another year of wasted talent in the county i think the people who play hurling should concentrate at football because hurling will never be the same again wheras footballs on the up.... this would be my panel of players Comeonref (Limerick) - Posts: 27 - 10/01/2010 21:13:19 529596 Link 0 |

Yes i stated that at the end of my post but its the managers job to get onto these players quickly as theres a munster out there to be won!!!! They will have a great spirtual leader in Hannan with a forward line that would cause problems for most senior club teams also Ian Corbett and Rob Egan should link up well in midfield with Tom Ryan on the 40 running all day Comeonref (Limerick) - Posts: 27 - 12/01/2010 12:42:09 530757 Link 0 |

O Riordan is a certainty for the panel in my opinion. Can be a bit lazy at times but a serious footballer when it comes down to it Ciotog (Limerick) - Posts: 56 - 12/01/2010 19:59:14 531440 Link 0 |
O Riordan is gifted but too lazy in my opinion as yes he will put points over all day but when it comes down to it he a bit slow to last the pace of intercounty he can show class at times Comeonref (Limerick) - Posts: 27 - 13/01/2010 17:18:18 532129 Link 0 |
