I apologise if i insulted any fans of david batty or vinny jones, in all fairness they were very honest players who gave all for their clubs.

Two greats but it has to be Keane. Brady was silk personified but Roy could grab a game by the scruff of the neck and boss it and no one could or can do it like him.

Watch the 1979 FA Cup final, when that trophy meant something.

Brady played well that day. But the FA cup does not compare to the Semi Final of the Champions League, Where Roy showed ZZ who was the boss. Reputed to be the best midfielder in the world at the time. Well he may have been until Keane tucked him up and put him to bed. As i said Pat just one of those performances you never forget. Even you must have admired the man after the booking and the way he conducted himself. What a shame he had to miss the final. Unlike another English midfielder who cried his eyes out in a world cup Semi when found in a similar situation.

I remember that 79 final well. Everyone raves about how it was a great game, it came alive in the last few minutes and that was about it. I was gutted when Bailey missed that cross, I think it would have been ours if we had held out for extra time. But they were the better side on the day and deserved to win it. As i said Brady had a good game but it wouldn't get remotely close to Keane's against Juventus. 2 down away in Turin to a top class Italian team nobody gave us a prayer until the master rose to get us back in the game. It was the stuff of fairy tales Pat.

Both were very consitent and rarley had bad games. But Roy could put the fear of god into anyone. If you were in the trenches you wouldn't want to be next to any other man.

You do know what programme the champion's league replaced on a Wednesday night?

The wrestling.

The wrestling to its credit did not look as fake as the football.

32-4-1 If you didn't see it don't comment on it. You often respond just for the wind up, but your responses are not very good. I often choose to ignore most of your posts and it would seem you have a new friend in Millhouse who is similar to yourself. If you don't make any reasonable sense, i will not respond. Improve your posts and then maybe. You constantly criticise United without any real foundation. Do your homework my friend at the moment your a 2 out of 10 i am sorry to say.

You often respond just for the wind up ive never posted for the wind up. united are **** playing in a average league. they only won the champions league in 08 as they were the best of a bad lot. the standard of european giants like juve, inter, milan, munich, madrid has dropped in the last few years and its the only reason united have won anything. but it seems to be on the way back up again. english teams also seem to get a lot of "fairytale" games in europe aswell. they are some of the luckiest teams in europe with liverpool top followed by united. breffini what has age got to do with anything. we've been talking about united over the last two years on most thread ive been on and yet you seem to say i dont know anything since im just a "gason". so do you see extra things happening on a football field the older you get?
