Kevin O'Grady of st james's is a fantastic footballer and only 20, but I think I heard he's not going for the trials. JFK (Wexford) - Posts: 590 - 07/12/2009 18:59:04 506344 Link 0 |

Actually he's 20 next year, he has 2 years at U21 level left. My mistake, I was thinking of the coming season. JFK (Wexford) - Posts: 590 - 08/12/2009 18:43:13 507554 Link 0 |

i cant stand the sars but paul murphy is a serious footballer. he was top scorer this year in the senior championship. he scored 1-9 in the senior b final this year. and i no he was asked to play with the footballers. but i think he is going back to england but if he dont he will be a serious talent. and is only 18 i think... wexmanforecer (Wexford) - Posts: 3 - 10/12/2009 12:38:26 509555 Link 0 |
I heard from a source that Murphy was on de county minor panel for a while but Aidan O Brien didnt think him better then de 6 forwards he already had (Liam Og, Declan Murphy, Craig Doyle etc) so Murphy dropped himself off de panel. Though in fairness I did hear Paul Carty is very fond of him and is on to him to play u21. ricky (None) - Posts: 86 - 10/12/2009 19:49:12 510115 Link 0 |

ricky wherever ya got your information is no good. paul murphy never trained once with the footballers. and was asked loads of times. plus he would be better than the 6 of them forwards....otherwise ryan wouldn be askin him to play senior at 18 would he? wexmanforecer (Wexford) - Posts: 3 - 11/12/2009 04:26:26 510481 Link 0 |
So he supposedly been asked to play loads of times but hasnt..? Why keep fussing about him in that case when ders better players like Declan Murphy and Paudie Kelly who cud be persuaded to play u21 football. ricky (None) - Posts: 86 - 11/12/2009 16:12:11 510967 Link 0 |
Ricky is correct, Spot trained at least once with the county minor footballers , in saying that i still believe he would have a lot to offer the 21 footballers of 2010. Laero (Wexford) - Posts: 18 - 11/12/2009 16:22:01 510982 Link 0 |

Alan Cowman, Michael O'Regan and Mark Fanning could all be on the panel. Very good footballers wexfordfootball (Wexford) - Posts: 33 - 14/12/2009 17:58:32 513541 Link 0 |
The right attitude is one of the most important things in becoming successful in any sport, doesnt matter how much talent you have if the right attitude isnt there then you wont ever achieve anything. Which is why certain players mentioned here will make teams and others will not!!!!! footfan (Wexford) - Posts: 173 - 14/12/2009 18:22:37 513571 Link 0 |
Well it's more than the attitude of the players..the attitude of the county board towards football is not very positive either wexfordfootball (Wexford) - Posts: 33 - 15/12/2009 11:11:14 514253 Link 0 |
