How ??????,i'm speaking out of experience.I'm not entitled to a penny but yet some geezer comes from another country 1000's of miles away and get's the full amount.I worked since I was 16 till I was 19.I go down to the dole to put in for the dole only to be told ''i'm not entitled to nothing due to me father's earning's'' which ain't that much atall.So I have to file for credit's.Xmas is coming up,I have a girlfriend and me family to think of,who's going to help me ?.You can call me racist for telling the truth if you wan't I don't care what someone up the other end of the country think's.

Getting Back to Toma 007's point
To answer your point TOMA - I dont have a hard and fast view on this
and my opinion does not differ if its a pole/African or Irish person

1. Drawing dole under "extra names" false address etc is theft and is a crime
2. Drawing dole whilst having a full time job is theft and is a crime
3. Drawing dole and working a few hours at the weekend in a pub or getting a few quid for painting a wall - I can live with
4. Saying you are on a 3 day week and maybe working one extra day for cash - I can live with
5. Working full time paying tax and doing saturday work for cash - I can live with

probably a bit contradictary and difficult to know where to draw the line but that my view

When i was your age the last thing i wanted was to be on the Dole, Education is what a young fella needs. Its only right that they stop 19 year olds going on the dole. Unless there are extraordinary circumstances. You mention you have a girlfriend and a family, if this means you have a kid etc then by all means your entitled to the dole, but if worried and getting your mam, dad and girlfriend a few christmas presents well thats a bit of a joke. Also if you worked full time from the age of 16 to 19 then your entitled, if your on about a bit of part time work then you probaly didnt reach the bench mark to pay tax. It doesnt matter what my Job is, the fact i'm keeping it because i went on to further education, got my degree and my masters, if i must say my leaving cert was pretty crap so no excuses there.

I do apoligise I wasn't full up.between the age of 16 - 19 I was working in the same supermarket.I finished me LC 2 yr's ago and got crap points,so I applied for a course in Sports & Leisure.I got it.Me father (extremely old fashioned) told me it wouldn't get me no where in life (because of the LC point's).So I applied for job's all over the place.I got a job in a supermarket working night's,I couldn't cut it after working from Oct - Mar.I was then laid off.I applied for the same course last Sept and got a interview but didn't get it.I made the fatal mistake of only applying for 1 course.

It would do me nicely.That's why i'm giving out.I live with me mother & father who provide for me,which is killer on me.Cause I'd pay up weekly,I'm not greedy that way,and I'd like to pay for meself when i'm going for me few pint's with me friend's instead of them giving me charity if you get what I mean.

501328 every lad in know who had a job in the construction industry who are now either doing a FAS course or still doing nixers are still drawing the dole.quite the artists they are!!

I know a few lads like that as well,I know one of them has 4 kids-Imagine he wants to put food on the table for them and Keep the roof over their heads!He's some chancer alrite,the cheek of him,would'nt you think he would sit on his **** all week doin nothin instead of worrying about where the next meal will come from....
