Ricey must have the biggest All-Ireland medal haul from a non-Irish national. Dellpolecat - I suppose James Connolly or Eamon DeValera were not Irish either?

Roy Keane would be betters served concentrating on his failing managerial term at Ipswich and stop trying to deflect attention with his big mouth.

If 3 time AI winner Ricey McMenamin is not Irish and Easter Rising '16 Veteran Eamonn DeValera was not Irish, would I be safe in assuming you believe James Connolly, the Irish Rebel, was not Irish either?

Fair play to Babs Keating for blaming Cork for all the managerial problems in other Counties especially Clare and Limerick. As I said in a previous post, causing trouble and unrest seems to be a particularly Cork thing.....hurlers and footballers who love to strike, Roy Keane who walked out on his country ( he could have waited until after the World Cup to sort out his issues with the FAI & Mick McCarthy ), Stephen Ireland who won't even play for his country ( the greatest honour that could come any young player's way ). No wonder you are called rebels.....but for all the wrong reasons !

Thirty1. Do you think it's fair that inter-county players have to waste a year of dedication with someone they all agree is not up to scratch?? It's different for the dubs, they get to beat carlow and wicklow, win leinster and then get beat out the gate by who ever they happen to meet and then they go home and sell drugs to children i guess. Plus ye don't even support ye're hurlers. A proud county indeed ;-) is dublin really in ireland?? I thought it was part of the pale??!

I know this thread has gone a bit mad and it has little revelance to Cork. I wish them well next year. Happy Christmas to you all!

Bottom line on this blaming Cork issue is that people with very little knowledge of the situation or of the people involved are using it to have a go at Cork in general. Iv noticed that a few people from other counties on this site just have a dislike for us for whatever reason, which is fair enough. These same few people take every opportunity to mention the strikes etc, but this blaming Cork for causing strikes in other counties!! Ok we are the most successful county but they don't have to try and follow our every move in order to get their own success. I'm sure these players form Clare and Limerick can think for themselves.

What waste of good hoganstand space this thread is!! (Discussing soccer on our national sports webpage?? shameless) Simply put Roy Keane is a ****** with a crossbread Cork/UK accent!! He was an overated soccer player, ***** manager!! He certainly wouldnt be able to share a dressing room with some of the gentlemen who play Hurling & Football nationwide!! Best of luck to Cork in 2010 its up to us, ye, Tipp or Galway to call a stop to this onslaught of Cats!!!

Deise_4_2010: you say discussing soccer on our national sports page on the one hand, yet you use the term 'uk' describing Keane's accent! If you're so anti soccer and pro our national games you wouldn't use the term uk - Bit of a contradiction there. I think we'll be waiting for another few years before any team can overthrow the cats.

Congrats to Mick McCarthy who has helped keep Wolves in the Premiership. A decent man who has served his country well and was disrespected by a petulant, indisciplined Corkman (who is now learning that management isn't easy or black and white and who will soon walk out on or be sacked by Ipswich!) Good man Mick!
