Can everyone who knows anything list the names and clubs of players who were involved in the trials on Saturday?

Every club was asked to put three players forward so no excuses for any club who failed to do so. However there were three clubs who didn't partake in the trials, these were St. Pats, N.Blues and St.Mochtas owing to Pats and Blues involvement in COD final replay and Mochtas involvement in the Leinster junior club final next weekend.

Dearg you said that Kevin Rogers is no longer on the panel. Do you know whether he left of his own volition or was he dropped?

Greengrass, all of the lads mentioned in a previous post were approached by management Kevin Rogers included. Kevin was actually involved in the trials at the weekend Greengrass.

Thanks for that Dearg. Glad to hear he was involved. He's a bright young talent. It would be a shame to lose him.

A horrible evening for anyone to try and play at their best. I'd say up on 50 lads were present many of whom would not be household names so it's difficult to put name on the faces. I understand that some of last weeks participants who weren't present this evening have actually moved on into the gym to work with the squad. Fitzer is a good lad and he clearly knows what he is at so we'll leave it to him to sort the teams out, I don't envy his position one wee bit..

If they are good enough they should be on it - simple as that. Certainly Andy Mc is one for the future and that is what we need on panel. Dont know the other chap's capabilities. There are two other selectors so Im sure that any decisions abut taking lads on the panlel were agreed by all

Its a tough one but we need to blood young guys all the same.

If either as nearly as good as thier old men their definately worth a look at.. Its a long way till the Leinster championship at this stage...

If these young lads are good enough then it will be clear for us all to see in the League and O Byrne cup.

In most cases I have noticed that fathers actually go a lot harder on their kids, just to be seen not to show any bias. You could argue that managers tend to pick players from their own club/area as well. Its Fitzers job to get results and he`ll pick the players that he feels will deliver.

It`ll be interesting to see how it works out. They probably deserve a chance, just like everybody else.

i have to agree with sam57,to think 15 years ago we had the likes of stefan white ,colin kelly, alan doherty and at the time maybe the two best midfielders in the province in seamus o hanlon and ken reilly, none of the present players wud lace their boots.our underage structure was years behind the rest of the country and hence the reason for this barren spell of quality players, its goin 2 take another 5 years before we see any rewards from the present youth development squads

Young Fitzer has been an ever present fixture in the underage set up and was there right up to the junior panel until he was dropped by Mac a week b4 a game.. give the lad a chance. For the clans he was more of a forward although he was a defender in the 21's.. IMO fitzer has made 1 r 2 errors already in picking the team but try and get behind him lads
