Mick O'Dwyer gave presentation in my office a few months ago and he said he'd be happy to see players get a 10k cheque at the end of the year. Honestly I wouldnt begrudge the lads a bit if cash but the problem with money is once you give people some they will always want more. So if they get a grant every year how long before its not enough and they want a bigger one in line with inflation or something or other. It could get outta control and lead to all out professionalism
