484911 Ireland's Call is pretty grim alright, but for those Tyrone and Donegal posters casting aspersions about musical atrocities, I call your Phil Coulter and raise you Hugo Duncan and Daniel O'Donnell - 'the horror, the horror!', as Marlon Brando once put it. I'm not well even thinking about it, the lights are getting dimmer, I need to lie down a while.

Ok Ok, no need to get nasty about it:o(

Tyrone are surely docked for more than Hugo Duncan? What about Gary Gamble? Philomena Begley? Sean Wilson? Those three alone would eclipse Tyrone's three Sam Maguires

Oh no, just what I feared, a pincer movement between Derry & Donegal. I have nothing left to come back with fellas, except my profound apologies for the musical apocalypse we have unleashed upon you all, what can we do to make it up to you?

Has to be Cavan folks. Equal highest amount of all Ireland's with Down and the record amount of Ulster titles. Plus the ancesteral home of my surname!! -)

Gaelantrim, you are walking right into our trap... Do you think we can be so bad as to loose to Wicklow, Tipp, etc without it being all part of a bigger plan?

Watch & see!

Seriously 3 Down players played both games for Ulster, Dan & Benny started with Hughes coming on. No doubt Down do need to address some issues, ie a full back and some ball winning forwards but the biggest part of a good team is there.

No real depth of talent though as cover. Hopefully McCartan & co can do something.

Football
1. Tyrone
2. Cavan
3. Down

Now most of us know that Loyal was winding, but what is this?

Hopefully revenge by Che.

What never ceases to amaze is that on these threads about Ulster football, if it was serious, some people do not automatically have Cavan at number one, and then Down.

After that you can argue all day about the other 7.

Cavan shouldn't be number one. They might have 39 Ulster Titles ( only one of which was won in the last 40 years ), but the fact that they have only succeeded in the All Ireland series 5 times in 39 attempts, in my opinion is a pretty poor return. Surely Down's record of 5 All Irelands from 12 provincial successes is the more impressive. AN DUN ABU

Very impresive indeed.

But if you carry that to its logical conclusion Fermanagh are UNBEATEN in the all Ireland series as Ulster champions.

Should they be number one?

I suppose it shows how little loyal2Royal knows about football if he thinks Tyrone only appeared this century. A team that won minor all-irelands in the 40's and ulster titles by the 50's were far from dormant. So you describe Tyrones position as being elevated, maybe it is more elevated than you would like, but that is a matter of your own insecurity than anyting of Tyrones doing. The question itself is pointless, who is the most successful, well you obviously cannot look past Down or Cavan, and given Cavans number of Ulster titles they are the most successful. What a boring thread!

I suppose Meath are going to spend another year training their younger players up in Ulster this year again. I wonder when they might be able to win the Minor Football League in Ulster.

Barney Eastwood played on one of those sides.

All the other teams backed Tyrone with Barney, so that doesn't count.

I wonder can Tyrone close the gap on their rivals Derry in 2010?

Or will it be a case of deja vu as Derry put the Red Hands to the sword yet again?

Add Watty Grahams of Glen Maghera multiple Rince Fóirne AI titles and that puts Dhoire even further ahead. Get in there Loyal!
