Which is the biggest club rivalry in Donegal?

josey my boy. The reason Glenties are disliked by everyone is down to the trampish & hateful behaviour of their supporters. Glenties is the one away fixture I don't go to anymore & believe you me there was many a pint glass raised in celebration when you were dumped out of the championship this year.

@muckrosshead. Believe me, I am not your boy. I"m sure we can manage without you gracing us with your presence. Your own lot are not exactly whiter than white themselves. I witnessed it myself in the u21 match v St Eunans in Davy Brennan Park last year. I wouldn"t be quite as quick to judge sir.

Josey
I am going to GAA games both club & county for nearly 45 years. Nowhere & I mean nowhere is as hostile & plain unwelcoming as Glenties. Why this should be I don't know as I know a lot of Glenties people & they are all the nicest people you could meet, but there is a small group that shames the whole town. My best bet would be that they can't hold their drink.

@muckrosshead. Well, I suppose as the old saying goes, " you see what you want to see". Sure if you decide to lift your self imposed ban on D B Park, I"l make sure there"s a welcome banner and some chocolates waiting for you when you get here.

Agree Muckross , speaking to fans around the County and most would say the same. Very hostile place, while there are one or two in every club, NC seem to be the worst.

I don't see how people can actually try and defend N.C.
How many genuine Glenties fans stopped going to club matches due to these certain supporters?

Muckross: You, like many others seem to be obsessed with Naomh Conaill. While not whiter than white, Naomh Conaill's large support sometimes is confused with imtimadation.

It simply is not like what people suggest. We are possibly the cleanest senior team on the pitch, maybe to our detriment this year.

Anyway, enjoy the summer without us, we were not good this year, because we are going nowhere as our huge underage success from under 8's through to senior again this year proves.

Everybody hates a winner. Luckily, we like winning and don't care.

Henrik , you obviously don't play football because your club are the most cynical in the county along with their verbals. Kilcar , Ardara and Killybegs are a lot more successful than NC at senior level so it ain't the success that makes yous disliked , it's your shocking supporters . Everybody can't be wrong , not winning a senior championship until 05 tells its own story.

Henrik, This is the first time I have ever posted anything about Glenties!!!

I have no problem at all with the team or indeed 95% of your supporters. It is the 5% who seem to have organised themselves into a group that spend entire games mouthing at supporters of other teams I have a problem with.

Everyone does not hate a winner, just winners who do not win well.

I was fortunate to attend three of N Conals matches in their terrific Ulster campaign in 2010 and found their fans to be passionate, polite, friendly, knowledgeable and like all DL fans (including Kilcar) ever so friendly... not sure what a highly respected poster like Muckross is getting at here !

Wondering if a successful run for your county team has diluted club rivalary a little or will it resurface again with two local derbies in the Q.F.s
