Looking at it again this guy should be ashamed of himself, he should apologise, his manager should apologise, he should get fined by his club and he should get fined and banned by the FA for bringing the game into disrepute!

i suppose we better get Darren Bent to do the same? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I8p_CRR3Bk - and this buck must get a life ban.and what about king Ronaldo?? I dont condone what he did,it looks catmalodian from most angles but is it any worse than what rooney was at on sunday? both players are not shining examples to kids or anyone. also, the coverage ESPN gave on it last night was a disgrace IMO. how come players cant give out about referee's but the can dog other professionals out of it?there was no need to keep showing it. oh yea, i would have went down too.

Eh, yes. I haven't seen the Ngog dive, but as far as I could see Rooney didn't cheat on Sunday. Ashley Cole did but you didn't reference him cos of course, Utd are the real villians. At this stage I would give you both barrells for being obsessed with Man Utd but your exquisite use of the word "catmalodian" has granted you a reprieve.

Its cheating, theres nothing more to it. It's a similar to the occurance that happened when Eduardo dived whilst playing for Arsenal against Celtic early into the season which resulted in a penalty. As far as remember Eduardo got a two match ban which was then overturned because there was video evidence of minor contatc between him and Boruc. Ngog should get a ban for his actions aswell but this time I'd doubt it will be overturned as its soo blatantly obvious that there was no contact.

They should ban the ref instead of Ngog,he should have spotted it. I think the pressure of the crowd got to him, because there is absolutely no way in hell if a birmingham player did that up the other end he would have got a penalty. Although if Ngog can get away with it,then fair play to him.

They are all at it,every soccer player has taken a dive at one stage or another.these former players who come out in the media blasting the divers are nothing but hypocrits.id say the liverpool manager was delighted with him, earned the team a point!its part of the game whether people like it or not.

Was everyone not lining up to have a go at eduardo after what he did but there has been very little said about the ngog incident. It seems people just criticise diving when it suits them. John aldrige writes a newspaper column for the sunday world and a couple of weeks ago he talked all about how he hates diving and mentioned players like drogba, eduardo and ronaldo in his time at united and how their respective managers should be fined for their players antics. Interestingly enough he failed to mention any liverpool players diving, i wonder will he mention the ngog incident... somehow i doubt it.

Google "skate board" falls. Watch it, if you don't already know how someone falls.

I mean if you are walking down the street, look up and trip over something, as you fall groundwards do you fling both arms backwards while shouting "aaarrrrgggghhhhh?

Or do you put both arms in froont of you, to break your fall, like the skate boarders?

Now watch the premiership.

Even Wright Philips is now diving, so without contradiction I can now say "They ALL dive".

Do you have to be fouled for a penalty to be given i think not,Carsleys challenge was wreckless and the lad was right to jump out of the way of it or he could have been seriously injured.Carsleys tackle was no where near the ball the young lad skined two defenders and was attacking at high speed, and was right to get out of the way.

In the modern game, the majority of strikers will dive if they think they can con the ref into awarding a peno. Its up to the defenders to be smarter in the way that they tackle. Its a sad state of affairs when there is a lack of honesty in the game but thats the way its gone.
We've had quite a few dives already this season, Ngog's being the latest but Lee Carsley didn't help his case by his silly lunging tackle in the box. Going in like that, regardless of whether he touch NGog or not meant that he was always running the risk of giving something away in a tight situation. NGog didn't have much other options than to dive. Had he stayed on his feet he would have probably been injured.
Just got to be a bit smarter in the box Lee. Compare this to John Terry's tackle on Valencia. Stone wall peno from a slow motion reverse angle replay, but from the referees view there was not way he could give it. JT is one of the best jersey tuggers in the game, he nearly always makes it look like the foul is against him. Thanks to the english media love in with Mr England, referees will usually give him the benefit of the doubt too even though he gets away with a lot of media attention to his cheating habits. Ronaldo takes one of his usual spectacular dives and gets lambasted for it. JT can stamp on a guys leg or spit in a guys hair and no one makes much about it!!
Soccer skills have developed beyond natural footballing talent, you also have to be a dab hand had conning referees too

Are you guys for real, jumped out of the way - didn't want to get injured, get a life. He dived and I am just after looking at it again, the ref was placed in a perfect position it see what he did (he was 18 yards away from the incident @ the edge of the box) and the numpty got it wrong.

Ngog jumped (dived) about 1 yard in the air and there was no contact.

Ngog is a cheat and the ref incompetent.

Having watched it on youtube, I have to say that it wasn't the worst dive I've seen. Carsley has only himself to blame. From what I have seen Ngog certainly "dives" out of the way but he doesnt really look for a penalty. Ashley Coles dive for the chelsea goal was worse. He's pleading to the referee in mid-air.

I bet you never made a mistake Sammy, apart from being from Tyrone and that is not really your fault.

Ah come on now Paddy no need to be like that!

I don't think the personal comments in your last post were anything to do with the subject of the thread. In future keep your petty personal comments to yourself.

If I am using this message board I do not want to be insulted by other posters Paddy.

Anyway Paddy can you list 100 things that are bad about Tyrone or its people?
