If you can't bet Fermanagh then you'll be lucky to beat Meath. Am not slagging, we're not the trickiest team at the moment!

Well then why have you bothered creating an account if you dont want to talk about GAA matters?

Has there been any discussion on the topic? No! Who gives a toss what the WUM from Louth thinks about who is the main event? As I said "WE" dont talk about GAA anymore!

George

That statement of yours is making no sense.

If you dont want to talk about GAA topics, why are you on this forum?

The thread was set up to discuss Meath v Offaly next weekend, so if you arent interested, stay of it, but dont have a go at myself or others who are here to discuss it.

As I said, its a GAA forum, if your not interested, dont log on to it!

Jinksie, what have you said about the match thats of relevance? We know its on telly, who gives a toss whether its first or second? Personally Im glad tis first as will be home early! And the way we are going, I will be home to see the second game on telly!
Was there any comment on the squads or any challenge games, eh no? So my point is valid, no real debate on Gaa here my friends.

A damn site more than you george.

I was answering a question from another poster & that topic got started. You however have just came in & started having a go at people for no reason!

Whats stopping you debating the game here?
Who do you think will win, score first, get sent of, be picked, be dropped & so on?
Can you not start that on your own?

Twill be enough to have to listen to them next Sunday Jim! A worse shower ya wont meet than beef fuelled Meath "supporters"! I admire their brand of football over the years, but a hard shower to listen to!
As for you Jinksie,
Meath to win by 8
Offaly to be physically out muscled around the field
Cant say who will score first
We have a poor back line, we have some reasonable forwards, (by the way Jim, will Nialler be fit to start?).
No real grounds for optimism this year and the beating by Louth has left me disillusioned with the scene, however I will support the team over in Portlaoise next Sunday as I believe we have limited talent at the moment and the lads are doing their best. But there will be only around a couple of thousand their from "The Faithful" despite it being on our doorstep!

Doubt it's going to be 8 or anything close to it.
I'd take a 1 or 2 point win right now.

Are there many from the minor team in 08 playing with Offaly seniors now? They were very strong that year & had a few handy footballers.

As for you derogative & insulting generalisation of all Meath fans, that's just laughable.
Fair play to you tho, to be able to put you hand on your heart & say you meet & talked to every single Meath fan before casting a judgment like that is a fair achievment. Well done. Lucky for ye that there's not one single Offaly supporter out there who is capable of shoeing the rest of ye up in a bad light. Ye are in a very unique position there, hope it continues for ye.

I reckon Offaly to scrape the win by a 1 or 2 point margin. They are the fittest they've been in a couple of years and injuries seem to be clearing up at the right time.

I hope im wrong but i think we have no hope against Meath , we are a such a poor side ...Meath are a far bigger stronger team,it could get embarassing...

Why are RTE televising this match as there will be a small crowd in for the first match. The crowd will only be starting to arrive at half time in this match. An OG by RTE I think

Lads, on a slightly side note,

Do any of ye think it would have made more sense to play this game in mullingar, with the minor game beforehand?
Both couties would have had a bigger interest in both games, & it would be more nuetral.

Just wondering
