All ticket are they mad there won't be 15 thousand at the two games there. there was a small crowd
at the kildare match last year and they are worst this year, meath will only bring a big crowd when
they are playing the dubs in croker.

Portlaoise is the venue.
Double header with our favourite neighbours & Longford

jinxie you made my day and ruined my day. i take it the reds will be playing before hand??

Bettystown,

I think you'll find Offaly and Yiz are the curtain raiser to the main fixture Louth v Longford. No doubt you'll be staying on to give us an auld cheer or two.

Well if that was to be the case, & thats if, seeing as the GAA themselves havent confirmed it, the it would be due to the Fact that either TV3 or RTE would be televising it live & moved it forward, as im sure you will acknowledge, Meath & Offaly would be of a much higher level than Longford & louth

God help your wit jinxie as I don't think RTÉ or TV3 will be busting any gut to get to Portlaoise to televise either game. Look on the bright side of things wont yiz all be home in plenty of time for milking.

And what makes you think they wouldnt squid?

Why else would the big game be brought forwad, only to accomodate rte as they will be showing Tyrone & Antrim after it

What would a Wee man be doing on the Offaly board at this time of year? Oh ye, it has something to do with meath!! Squid do you want a loan of a meath jersey for the game?? Ive a spare from the all-ireland win of 1999 if you want?

donaldo,

You'd better hold on to your jersey because frankly I cant see the GAA relaxing on any of the policies it introduced in 2001.

So you want the jersey but you think the gaa wont allow it? God help any offaly or meath supporters that make the mistake of staying back to watch the main match of the day.

I can feel it !!! Offaly will do a Wexford from 2008. We will be behind by at least 8 points but two quick goals and there will be no more than a point in this one.
As for the Longford match I will be staying back to watch as a very god friend of mine will be togging out for Louth. Come on the Wee county and the faithful !!!

Meath are due a Leinster?? If anything the only two teams have any chance of winning leinster next year are Dublin or Kildare. Offaly have not even kicked a ball yet in 2010 and according to some supporters we are beaten already! Show some faith. Offaly have nothing to fear against Meath in all fairness. They ain't no world beaters or anything!

Well considering Meath beat Kildare in the last round of the league by 5 points should put meath on at least equal footing with Kildare. As for Dublin even though we beat them this year they have improved drastically over the last few weeks.

laois beat kildare and lost by a point to meath in a game that could have gone either way. Does that put us on equal footing with meath and kildare????

I don't think David Egan is going to be available with a broken foot.

Seriously BettystownRoyal does anyone really care about the league results??? Meath beat Kildare big whoop, it will be a different story come Championship time.

As a neutral supporter watching the curtain raiser, I hope you're right LukeFitz about Sullivan being fullback. Louth could have scored a lot more than 5 goals against yez in the league match a few weeks ago. As a neutral supporter watching this curtain raiser, I will be staying for the main event but if Offaly play the team I saw in the league match then those people only intrested in the curtain raiser will be leaving after 10 mins. Lets just say if Sullivan is not playing and the bookies are offering a handicap of Meath -8points at 10/11. Put the mortgage + Nama on it as it could be a record margin. Meath will score 10 - 12 goals on that fullback line, its a fact.
