like that team ste!!tho theres a couple of things ...

- Shane Sullivan is not a full back, hes wasted back there
- Think club player of the year Scott Brady has to be in there somewhere
- And not sure mulhall has it for county level, and really think Anton Sullivans vision could be a huge asset next year

Offaly championship team 2010 1) Ian Duffy {Walsh Island} (Great kick outs very accurate, great in the air and unbelievable reflexes just needs to fill out more) 2) Brian Darby {Rhode} (Very fit and great man marker just needs to fill out more) 3) Neville Coughlan {Shamrocks} (Strong fit fast and good in the air would make a decent full back) 4) James Gallagher {Walsh Island} (Very fit huge work rate just needs to work on kick passing and upper body strength) 5) Thomas O'Connor {Walsh Island} (Also very fit, strong good defensively and going forward) 6) Matthew Mitchell {Clara} (Strong fit and good passer of the ball and good defender) 7) Karl Slattery {Gracefield} (Perfect half back) 8) Brian Connor {Walsh Island} (Fit strong great in the air good passer and well able to kick scores) 9) Niall Smith {Gracefield} (Perfect partner for Brian, also great in the air and very strong) 10) Niall Darby {Rhode} (Fit and huge work rate and very accurate from play and frees) 11) Alan McNamee {Rhode} (Strong powerful good in the air and great passer of the ball just needs to work on his fitness) 12) Rory Connor {Walsh Island} (Strong fit and well capable of tagging on a few scores also has a huge work rate) 13) Thomas Deehan {Clara} (Fast strong accurate of either foot and would link up well with Niall and Ross) 14) Ross Connor {Walsh Island} (Very strong and powerful, great fielder and would link up well with the two inside forwards as well as the half forward line) 15) Niall McNamee {Rhode} (Has everything strength, speed, accuracy, great hands and vision) Subs Brian Quinlan {Edenderry} Gerry Grehan {Ferbane} Declan Murphy {Rhode} Shane Sullivan {Rhode} James Keane {Tullamore} Paul McConway {Tullamore} Ciaran McManus {Tubber} Alan McNamee {Rhode} Scott Brady {Clara} Sean Ryan {Birr} Jason Kelly {Shannonbridge} James Coughlan {Doon} Anton Sullivan {Rhode} Ken Casey {Croghan} William Mulhall {Walsh Island} Alan Mulhall {Walsh Island} (Full Forward not in goals) Alan Lynam {Erin Rovers} There is a mixture of experience and youth on the bench and anyone of these players are capable of making an impact if brought on.

So Alan McNamee is so good he gets a spot in the half forwards and on the bench?

Working from full2forward's team and from what I said on this issue on the main page:

Would put John Reynolds in the full forward line with Deehan and McNamee, would pull Anton Sullivan closer to our own goal and move Neville Coughlan further out the field.

Still think McManus deserves to start at either midfield or as a half back (could be great bursting out of defence after winning a high ball, still a bit unsure about his man marking though).

Think Padraig Kelly is still our best bet for a keeper and if John O'Hara is making himself available he could be worth a starting place in the half forward line ahead of Ryan.

All Fair Points But -

- I think John Reyolds has had more than his fair chance for offaly, time for then likes of ken Casey theirs!!!
- I also think that this team needs Sean Ryan, no one else in the county has his ability to beat a man and carry ball from the half forward line!!!

Fiar play JPM you got it fairly right with the team. I would not have heard of Williamson before and did not know Peter Smart was in there either.
Will be a tough one the next day out, DCU are a top side and ae at full fitness. Given the job they did on Westmeath yesterday, we will be up against it. A competitve performance will be a start.

Fair team jpm but like the past fews years, our Offaly team consists of alot of small light players. Kildare's physical strength made our boys look like light weights last year.
