. St Pat's, Navan v Good Counsel College-Pats to win by 5 or 6 points proevo (Meath) - Posts: 296 - 14/12/2009 19:11:18 513650 Link 0 |
Seems to be only good teams left . I reckon Newbridge and Benildas will be a good contest but i think newbridge's youth will stand to them . From what iv heard they've had more or less the same starting 15 for 4 years so they know eachother well nosioClane (Kildare) - Posts: 211 - 14/12/2009 21:34:15 513860 Link 0 |

St. Pat's, Navan v Good Counsel, New Ross ...home advantage could be a big factor in this game.although from what i have heard im going to have go with council in this one! St. Peter's, Wexford v St. Mary's, Knockbeg...Peters Wexford to win this one comftorably enough! Colaiste Mhuire, Mullingar v Dundalk Colleges...Fancy Mullingar here,Its going to take a very strong side to beat them! Marist, Athlone v St. Mary's, Edenderry ...Home advantage is a big help to Marist, but feel Edenderry might have that little bit more,Edenderry by 5. Moate CS v Scoil Dara, Kilcock...I reckon this is going to be a cracker!Very hard one to call but ill take a gamble and say Moate. Ardscoil Na Trionoide, Athy v St. Declan's Cabra...Athy to win at their ease. Colaiste Eoin v Colaiste Iosagain, Portarlington.Honestly i feel that the outcome of this game will have no bearing on the rest of the competition. An easy draw in the quarters for whoever gets them.Ill go with colaiste eoin though. St. Benildus v Patrician, Newbridge...Same as above!!!iLL GO WITH nEWBRIDGE THOUGH! collegeboy (Offaly) - Posts: 69 - 15/12/2009 11:01:36 514247 Link 0 |
JJ1 .. shockin name first of all . Secondly Ty is compulsory in Benildas so they are all a year older than patricians nosioClane (Kildare) - Posts: 211 - 15/12/2009 14:25:02 514439 Link 0 |
As a matter of interest how many Meath lads are on the Kilcock side and how many Kildare lads are on the Edenderry side? SuperCats (Kilkenny) - Posts: 101 - 15/12/2009 15:22:40 514508 Link 0 |
From the match report on this there were 9 meath lads starting against athlone for scoil dara and i think another two came on! not sure about edenderry but id say about 7 maybe??? we'll have to wait to see the match reports on the irish independent JimboK (Kildare) - Posts: 215 - 15/12/2009 18:38:07 514760 Link 0 |

'JJ1' ..A year is a big difference at that age level i remember when i was that age ! Every young team tries harder because they have a point to prove . How was it ridiculas sayin youth is on there side ? Correct me if im wrong , but did a YOUNG athy minor team not win the mionr championship this year ? Oh thats right they did nosioClane (Kildare) - Posts: 211 - 17/12/2009 20:31:05 516838 Link 0 |
JJ1 i think that nosioclane has a point and his example of the athy minor team is perfect...on top of that the newbridge team have the experience of winnin 2 leinster A's...the youth, determination to upset older teams and the experience of winnin will see them through in my opinion thestigfella (Kildare) - Posts: 48 - 17/12/2009 20:40:04 516851 Link 0 |
I personally think Newbridge can go futher than this. Very strong team throughout . Very strong defence since their first leinster success. With very good scorers up front gaelic4ever (Kildare) - Posts: 49 - 17/12/2009 21:45:47 516939 Link 0 |
