I hate when people say players get picked on ''who you know'', it's a load of nonesense. All those players can hold their own at that standard, and deserve to be there baised on performances at the trials. footballman22 (Galway) - Posts: 134 - 12/11/2009 15:19:29 482200 Link 0 |

I agree fully with footballman22, plus if players arent good enough they wont be kept on the panel, we can hardly doubt mullholland after all galwayr (Galway) - Posts: 31 - 12/11/2009 19:02:59 482402 Link 0 |

Damien Redington is in Liverpool finishing of his college years. He had a very good year with Dunmore, is the top scorer in the team and a great team player. DAF (Galway) - Posts: 3 - 17/11/2009 19:40:32 486554 Link 0 |

Patrick Mark ó Fatharta scored 1-8, (1-6 from play) against westport in the intermediate connacht final on sunday. Was un stopable. if the panel is still open he will be surely called in by mullholland gaalway (Galway) - Posts: 66 - 18/11/2009 18:06:13 487640 Link 0 |
Patrick Mark was treated disgracefully in 2007 when they couldn't even find a place on the panel for him. Is anyone seriously saying that sean Denver is a better player than him? Pat Mark is a pure natural forward and one of the best that Connemara has produced in the last 10 years. I am not a Naomh Anna supporter by the way. patrick mark is a serious point kicker but maybe the pace of inter county is to fast for him but i don't knw i could be wrong aswell porkchops (Galway) - Posts: 151 - 19/11/2009 10:22:06 488075 Link 0 |
Coiscuain why do you have to pick certain players and put them down as players. Galway11 (Galway) - Posts: 570 - 20/11/2009 15:44:10 489538 Link 0 |
Galway 11. I am not sure what you are on about with regards great players. I mentioned Denver because he made the 07 panel while O Flahatra didn't and in my oponion magnified the way he was treated. Coiscuain (Galway) - Posts: 48 - 20/11/2009 17:19:23 489636 Link 0 |
I heard a good bit of talk about O'Flatharta 3 years ago with the minors alright when he was omitted from the panel. galwayman2 (Galway) - Posts: 1307 - 20/11/2009 19:01:56 489732 Link 0 |
I think he is coming back from a cruciate injury. All i am saying that he is definately good enough to be on the panel when you consider some members of the panel. I think that he would be a huge asset. Only a well founded oponion. Coiscuain (Galway) - Posts: 48 - 20/11/2009 21:13:49 489869 Link 0 |
Hey, im just wondering how come there are no Annaghdown players on the county team, we are the current u-21A champions. it was the same in minor aswell, a few years ago when we were the North Board A champions and county finalists. Why are we always overlooked. The likes of Enda Mullarkey, Daniel Dennigan, Joe Farragher, Pa Burke, Ciaran Duggan and Niall Farrgaher are as good if not better than most of the players on that team. A lot of them are starters on the Annaghdown senior team which lost M/M in the quater-final this year. in fairness aswell this group of players have been one of dominant forces in football since u-14. U-14 Feile finalists, county finalists, and League Champions, U-16 League champions 2 years in a row, Minor A north board championship and league champions, and u-21A county champions. I dont mean to be gloating but surely the track record of this team warrants a bit more consideration. ff (Galway) - Posts: 8 - 21/11/2009 10:14:02 490107 Link 0 |
Ya i agree with u ff surely their must be some1 4m annaghdown gd enuf considerin they are A champions!! There is no 1 4m MB on it either who ye bet in the final!! The 2best teams in the county at this grade last year not represented on the panel Eire89 (Galway) - Posts: 325 - 21/11/2009 15:42:48 490259 Link 0 |
just because annadown and MB made the final doesn't make them the two best teams.. footballskin (Galway) - Posts: 79 - 21/11/2009 16:35:26 490287 Link 0 |

footballskin how do u justify saying dat da two finalists wernt the best two teams???dats a ridicolous statement croiagusanam (Galway) - Posts: 72 - 21/11/2009 19:38:51 490395 Link 0 |
easily..championship doesnt always prove the best teams get to final with no back door as certain teams lost games due to players injuried, bad day for team, pitch didnt suit them..etc footballskin (Galway) - Posts: 79 - 21/11/2009 20:04:12 490417 Link 0 |
