Galway U21 2010

I hate when people say players get picked on ''who you know'', it's a load of nonesense. All those players can hold their own at that standard, and deserve to be there baised on performances at the trials.

PuffDaddy. Thats possibly the stupidest comment i have read on here.

"ahhhhh well doesnt matter really as jamie burke was on the losing side..."
NAOMHANNA time to grow up lad. This is a thread about 2010 Galway u-21 team. What puffdaddy said about Burke's performance in Intermediate final was 100% true,Fiachra Breathnach was played out of the match.Made little impact.
Anyhow, best of luck in Connacht final to Lettermore, but stop silly childish comments NAOMHANNA,will only turn people off ye.Looks like weather will be bad at the weekend again, should suit ye,prob another low scoring game.Best of luck.

I agree fully with footballman22, plus if players arent good enough they wont be kept on the panel, we can hardly doubt mullholland after all

476824 jj99 - I agree with you. Mulholland won an All-Ireland with this bunch of lads (+/- a few) 3 years ago. He opened up the trails to every club. Think it was over four Sundays. He can only pick 30 players. Let's give him our backing. We're disappointed one of our lads didn't make the team but so be it. Good luck to Alan and his team next year.

This lad has the right attidute.

Damien Redington is in Liverpool finishing of his college years. He had a very good year with Dunmore, is the top scorer in the team and a great team player.

Patrick Mark ó Fatharta scored 1-8, (1-6 from play) against westport in the intermediate connacht final on sunday. Was un stopable. if the panel is still open he will be surely called in by mullholland

Patrick Mark was treated disgracefully in 2007 when they couldn't even find a place on the panel for him. Is anyone seriously saying that sean Denver is a better player than him? Pat Mark is a pure natural forward and one of the best that Connemara has produced in the last 10 years. I am not a Naomh Anna supporter by the way.

patrick mark is a serious point kicker but maybe the pace of inter county is to fast for him but i don't knw i could be wrong aswell

Coiscuain why do you have to pick certain players and put them down as players.
Sean Denvir (MB) is not even on the panel so why are you picking him is it because he was on the 2007 minor panel?
Of course you think ye have the best players, we read about your "great" players in every single thread.

Galway 11. I am not sure what you are on about with regards great players. I mentioned Denver because he made the 07 panel while O Flahatra didn't and in my oponion magnified the way he was treated.

I heard a good bit of talk about O'Flatharta 3 years ago with the minors alright when he was omitted from the panel.
Let me say straight away that I have no opinion on this because I have not seen the lad play - my own club haven't played Leitir Mor in 4 or 5 years.
But am I not correct in saying that he was only a sub on the Leitir Mor team in the county final and some previous games in the championship?
If he is this good then surely he would be a regular on the team? Or was he injured or something?

I think he is coming back from a cruciate injury. All i am saying that he is definately good enough to be on the panel when you consider some members of the panel. I think that he would be a huge asset. Only a well founded oponion.

Hey, im just wondering how come there are no Annaghdown players on the county team, we are the current u-21A champions. it was the same in minor aswell, a few years ago when we were the North Board A champions and county finalists. Why are we always overlooked. The likes of Enda Mullarkey, Daniel Dennigan, Joe Farragher, Pa Burke, Ciaran Duggan and Niall Farrgaher are as good if not better than most of the players on that team. A lot of them are starters on the Annaghdown senior team which lost M/M in the quater-final this year. in fairness aswell this group of players have been one of dominant forces in football since u-14. U-14 Feile finalists, county finalists, and League Champions, U-16 League champions 2 years in a row, Minor A north board championship and league champions, and u-21A county champions. I dont mean to be gloating but surely the track record of this team warrants a bit more consideration.

easily..championship doesnt always prove the best teams get to final with no back door as certain teams lost games due to players injuried, bad day for team, pitch didnt suit them..etc
