I thought the squad was to be posted on the website www.galwaygaa.ie tonight. I checked the website there a minute ago and there is no sign of it.
Does anyone know who made the panel?
I think it will be very similar to the minor panel in '07 with a a few changes. From that panel Oisin O'Brien is injured at the moment, Rory O'Neill has no interest & Tommy Walsh has gone off the boil.

theman1 I go to college with the lad and he told me himself he has no interest. He was in Boston all summer and played very little football. He went to one training session and he said it was the first time he put on a pair of football boots for 6 weeks since he was in Boston. Did he even go to the trials? I think Declan Rattigan will start wing back. Very good reader of the game. Questionable decisions is right - politics played a part no doubt.

I think it's a good strong panel. It has a good mix of strenght, height, skill and loads of talented footballers without question. No one from breatnachs, Killalin or Annaghdown though.. Surely all merit at least one inclusion? All three clubs played in the latter end of this years u21 championship... breathnachs beating killalin and Annaghdown won the championship. Declan ratthigan or Tommy Walsh good enough? Who is Sean Gavin from Salthill? Rory Gaffney is well good enough if he has the time to divide between this and soccer with Mervue.

Lads, it's only a panel for the time being. I cant bet my life 6/7 players will come into and players will leave. Corofin players will be looked at in their remaining games and lads comin back from injury will also get their chance. Luke O Brien was on it last year and he's injured now but i'm sure he'll get a chance. Stephen Boyle from mountbellow probably didn't go to any trials like the corofin players, i agree tho there is a few surprises but you have that with every team. In a way it's who ya know not what ya know.
