what ever happened to Colm O'Reilly? Saw him play for Kildare U21s and Seniors a few times, he always stood out as being one for the future. Is he still playing?

Why are lads tipping players from this years minor team to make their senior debuts next year. These lads are promising players but their not exactly gooch cooper yet. Get a grip.

I agree with you Daytona, it mad to even think the likes of Moolick should be on the Kildare senior team, he is a very good player and has a big future but if im not mistaken he is minor again next year?? Mulhall might get called in at some stage next year but I cant see him featuring too much, but again a very exciting prospect. Some of the names that have been called up are:

Jason Phillips (Moorefield)
David Lyons (Clane)
Tommy O Neill (St Lawrences)
Tom Fitzgerald and David Byrne (Celbridge)
Hickey (Ballykelly), cant think of the lads first name, think its Alan
Dessie Lawlor (St Lawrences)
Pauric Goulden (Towers)
Tommy Archibald (Ballymore)

Will any of these lads hold down a starting place come middle of league/start of championship????

Colm O Reilly was a very exciting prospect when he was young, unfortunatly he had a lot of problems with his back and that hampered his game, was injured a lot during seasons. Not sure if he is still playing with Carbury

I'd think Phillips might have matured now and could make the step up. God knows we need a good big out and out full forward. A target man if you like. Some of the Maynooth will get a run aswell I think. Pierre Ennis might get a chance.

Is it true that only three lads have been brought into the panel this year ? david lyons hugh lynch ronan walsh. Mc Geeney has certainly gone down in my expectations , i have not missed a kildare match in years and we have been seeing the same faces , dont get me wrong i know rainbow,hendy, heffernan and brennan have served us greatly in Kildare , but are they match winners now ?? i am not so sure, but they are there taking up places for the youth in Kildare. Gary Hendy had a great performance at the trials and as for Tommy o Neill he has been outstanding all season and also stood out at the trials i was amazed to hear he was not called in , if those three names are correct. I think it is an awful pity for Kildare football this year not to give more lads chances the commitment is there....
