what ever happened to Colm O'Reilly? Saw him play for Kildare U21s and Seniors a few times, he always stood out as being one for the future. Is he still playing? nessy (Laois) - Posts: 6 - 25/11/2009 10:15:16 493482 Link 0 |
Why are lads tipping players from this years minor team to make their senior debuts next year. These lads are promising players but their not exactly gooch cooper yet. Get a grip. daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 25/11/2009 10:56:57 493517 Link 0 |
I agree with you Daytona, it mad to even think the likes of Moolick should be on the Kildare senior team, he is a very good player and has a big future but if im not mistaken he is minor again next year?? Mulhall might get called in at some stage next year but I cant see him featuring too much, but again a very exciting prospect. Some of the names that have been called up are: Willie Nelson (None) - Posts: 972 - 25/11/2009 14:48:41 493714 Link 0 |
Colm O Reilly was a very exciting prospect when he was young, unfortunatly he had a lot of problems with his back and that hampered his game, was injured a lot during seasons. Not sure if he is still playing with Carbury Willie Nelson (None) - Posts: 972 - 25/11/2009 15:15:09 493749 Link 0 |
I'd think Phillips might have matured now and could make the step up. God knows we need a good big out and out full forward. A target man if you like. Some of the Maynooth will get a run aswell I think. Pierre Ennis might get a chance. daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 25/11/2009 16:57:57 493871 Link 0 |
any1 reckon that a couple of the kildare minors from this year are gud enuf to break into the senior panel for next year? How about Paul Cribben? I hear Tommy Moolick is stepping up to Under 21 KilrushShamrock (Clare) - Posts: 75 - 25/11/2009 20:53:16 494153 Link 0 |
1 T.Corley 2 H.MCGrillen 3 D.Lyons 4 E.Bolton 5 M.OFlaherty 6 B.Flanagan 7 M.Conway 8 D.Flynn 9 D.Early 10 J.Kavanagh 11 P.O'Neill 12 R.Kelly 13 A.Smith 14 J.Doyle 15 D. Lawler. Tommy O'Neill will make panel maybe even start, Dessie Lawer will be a good player for Kildare. If Chalky starts he cud be our free taker as he took them for Sarsfields dis Year. David Lyons shud do well at full back Trev09 (Kildare) - Posts: 15 - 22/12/2009 13:32:07 520549 Link 0 |

Trev09, Is that team you've named the one you think will be dr 1st round of championship? athiabu (Kildare) - Posts: 157 - 23/12/2009 15:28:11 521445 Link 0 |
Is it true that only three lads have been brought into the panel this year ? david lyons hugh lynch ronan walsh. Mc Geeney has certainly gone down in my expectations , i have not missed a kildare match in years and we have been seeing the same faces , dont get me wrong i know rainbow, hendy, heffernan and brennan have served us greatly in Kildare , but are they match winners now ?? i am not so sure, but they are there taking up places for the youth in Kildare. Gary Hendy had a great performance at the trials and as for Tommy o Neill he has been outstanding all season and also stood out at the trials i was amazed to hear he was not called in , if those three names are correct. I think it is an awful pity for Kildare football this year not to give more lads chances the commitment is there.... Fred2009 (Wicklow) - Posts: 4 - 30/12/2009 13:22:35 522358 Link 0 |

Under what grounds do you think o neill should be full back. In the last 12 months he has shown nothing to get the no. 3 shirt sexyface (Kildare) - Posts: 175 - 12/01/2010 14:05:34 530866 Link 0 |
well sexyface you tell me who you think should play full back? i think kevin o'neill is a very experienced defender and i would rather have him in the team than have mick foley kildare4sam2010 (Kildare) - Posts: 506 - 12/01/2010 20:24:21 531475 Link 0 |
