"Slayer are you the oul rural lad with the bit a raw strength that Niall Moran was referring to in his Pride of the Parish programme?! Fair play lad, nothing like a belt of ash to get em into the crush. "

I always thought slayer was more of a wavin pipe man meself!! Do you use the hurl around the office now aswell!

O'Connors make a nice Hurl, Peadar Carton sent me 2 hurls and in fairness to him they were grand, Ramie's Stars are lovely but my new favourite would be Danny Loughnane in Kilkenny. Lovely ash, he can make them lighter or heavier but the bad is still so solid for the schweet spot! I sent some up to Galway recently to a cousin and 50 were ordered by his club 2 days later!

Cultec's by a mile I am afraid, I have stacks of broken "household" name wooden hurleys from all over Ireland, I can list them all if you like, most have here already. These by the way are for U12 Girls and Boys and I'd say we've gone through about 50+ hurleys in the last 18 months. Shocking standards, some actually split on just pucking a sliothar. The wood typically splits vertically, be they banded or not. No wonder have the Dublin team have Cultec's. By the way I persist with wood because I like "tradition" but I'm open to persuasion to try some more. With the recession, Cultec's are not only cost effective but they are a damn good hurley.

There not bad but your only getting second best in Wexford, Randalls are head and shoulders above the rest, absolutely no comparision.
