Care to name the great traditions of other clubs you mentioned, trophies won etc?? Moortown O'Neill cup in 92, Aughers last in 85. Pomeroy seem to be the only team mentioned to have won a Senior Intermediate trophy in the past decade, bar Aughers return from junior football can you name me any other senior trophies from Moortown, Derrylaughin or Eglish?

Well we did win a County and Ulster title to get to the All-Ireland final. How many Division 2 teams have won an Intermediate Ulster title in recent years?
Pomeroy > The Rest. Simple really

Cookstown suceeded where Pomeroy failed !! Another runners up medal!! lol

killeshil are very bad all players quit and away. They be relegated. Eglish will go straight back up. good team beat killeshil by 12 at weekend. eskragh as outside bet to go up with them. got good centre but weak at the wings.

pomeroy bad side too, not sure why people keep talkin bout them. shocking team. be mid table.

SM.....
First of all I am not taking cheap shots at Pomeroy. I have no grudge against any club.
I am sorry if you misunderstand me but I was looking back to 1884 and all the time in between.... not just your short lifetime !!!
I dont see Pomeroy featuring greatly in any period in the meantime.

My point is that there are a lot of people within those clubs who have been there and done that and that experience rubs off on to present day players which is an advantage when it comes to tight situations....
In Tyrone there is no bigger achievement than winning the O Neill Cup. Those clubs have all done that and three of them more than once. !!!!!!

Pomeroy would win division two easy, only for the young keeper they have between the sticks. McCourt i think is what they call him.

Ok big sacks, I realise that you are not taking cheap shots but its 15 against 15, doesn't matter who you have on the sidelines or within the club, Loughmacrory prime example of this in this season. Looking through the senior club titles record there I see Eglish have won it once in 1970, Washingbay Shamrocks (who I assume you refer to the present day Derrylaughin) once back in 1934. Pomeroy have experience in Declan McCallan, chairman when we got to the All-Ireland final, a fantastic coach in Enda Kilpatrick who has been with a lot of the youth players currently on the Pomeroy panel and a lot of players both senior and reserve who have won u16, minor and u21 titles for Pomeroy, some players still there from 2004 senior team as well who have come well of age. I just have a feeling that this is our year before we where content to sit in division now this club wants more and get back to the glory days of 2004.

As for response to blue blood, what is the size of Cookstown parish? Should be shameful that they where ever in division 2 to be honest.

Still a minor John McCourt was on the county panel during the minor league, unfortunate not to make it. Conceded 1 goal in 3 games and that came from a penalty so personally think he has done his job well. He is in place for the injured Marty McCreesh at present but feel he will be there for sometime yet as he hasnt made any mistakes yet.

I don't see how a team winning an O'Neill Cup in the 60's and 70's has any bearing on the current team

nice one mick, still 2 points off so wouldnt start on us as results show we are in the exact same place in terms of points behind so I'm not going to get too worried about the result, we have our injured players coming back and will still be there abouts come the end of the season.
