Shane said congrats to Blackrock on winning v aherlow, that we'd played against each other in a challenge lately and that we'd a fine young team and that'd upset a few teams in intermediate next year.

I have seen both Blackrock and Fermoy in action and I would regard Blackrock as far superior. By the way South is it true Richie Murphy's leaving ye??

landingeneer i would class blackrock as favourites (being from blackrock myself) for the game but where u get the idea that blackrock will hammer them off the field is beyond me. Ive seen fermoy once or twice and Ive been impressed, they know how to win in tough situations so it wont be easy for blackrock anyway any team that reaches a munster final will be up for it and will give 110 percent on the day so i believe that blackrock will have to be up for a battle if they want to win it, why dont u give credit to fermoy for reaching the final as its not easy to reach a munster final instead of whining that they are a poor team

landingineer do u know anything about GAA i would regard blackrock as favourites (being from the area myself) but winning at a canter??? u must be having a laugh its the munster final and so both teams will be up for it 110 percent Ive seen Fermoy in action once or twice and have been impressed with them well able to win in tight situations why dont u praise fermoy for reaching the munster final as it is not an easy feat to accomplish and you should also treat them with a bit of respect for the game instead of whining that they are a poor team i believe it will be tight as the two clubs will have pride at stake as they are not too far away from each other

As i started this topic i think i was on d ball bout a good year for limk clubs, well kind of... the more fancied teams got tough draws, DROM B away in clare was tough as ull get and think kilmurry will be munster champs theyll beat o rahillys so fair play to drom for good year, ADARE also got really tough draw against probably best team in munster wit serious hurling and just fell short,ST PATS lost home venue due to bad weather and i also think lost to future munster champs cratloe who beat cork champs by nine points yesterday and are serious team for future so no shame there. well done to souths a super team and super win. roll on london.....mountcollins was remarkable achievement after friday night lets hope they go on and blackrock can go much further if they dont get complacent!! all in all so far so good

Why don't you read the posts properly? i have never said that Fermoy are a poor team, just that I regard Blackrock as a superior one. As I said bsased on what I have seen i would expect Blackrock to wiin convincingly. I will admit however that weather conditions will play a big factor now. Current conditions will probably bring Fermoy into the reckoning more. if by some miracle however it dries up then Blackrock will prevail. They should win anyway.

Great win for Blackrock against Fermoy, Mountcollins brought well and truly back down to earth against castlegregory in the football.

get over yourself now capall dubh, brought down to earth, you havent a clue, they met a much better team that would give most of our senior teams a run for their money. Mtcollins should be proud of themselves, getting to a munster final is a serious achievement for a parish that size. The way Limeick gaa is going at the moment we should be getting behind teams such as Mtcollins and not begrudging them because of jealousy with stupid comments such as "brought back down to earth". Well dione to Mountcollins and Blackrock.

Well done to Blackrock and Mountcollins on representing LK in Mallow yesterday. LK are a 'dual county'!

Well dione to Mountcollins and Blackrock. Waiting since 73, Am I imagining it, or do you have a personal vendetta against me? You're not going to make too many friends with openers like "you havent a clue" and "Regarding stupid comments by..." I notice also that you've u-turned on your previous stance and are presenting Mountcollins as a small parish for the sake of this argument at least, no mention of your much loved Tournafulla-Mountcollins club! Anyway, down to brass tacks: Mountcollins should indeed be proud of their achievements up until about 3:20pm on Sunday, winning their first County Junior A title and overturning Tipperary and Waterford champions to reach a Munster final. Being brought back down to earth however is an understatement, and no team should take pride in a 19 point drubbing, regardless of the opposition. Accepting a defeat like this so lightly is patronising to Limerick football, and does nothing for the profile of the game within the County. If Limerick football has any aspirations to compete against Kerry, we can't afford to ship body blows like this at club level. I was at the match on Sunday and witnessed dejection on the faces of not only Mountcollins supporters, but keen football supporters from all over West Limerick and beyond. We have to hurt from defeats like this and bounce back with systems and tactics that will bring us closer to the Kerry and Cork clubs. Drom Broadford and Killmurry Ibrickane have proven that hard graft and rigid systems can overcome the giants of club football such as Nemo and Kerins O'Rahilly's. Last Sunday aside, it's been an amazing year for Mountcollins, heartiest congratulations and all the best in the intermediate grade next year!

regarding the comments about mountcollins, being a player i have never witnessed the dejection that was in the dressing room afterwards!!ipersonally feel that i have left my county down and for that im sorry. We will be back and will prove exactly what we are made of, we came back stronger after the bruff final and we are not going away not relaxing just because we have achieved what no team in 125yrs could do.So enjoy yer ranting and raving about a team ye know little about, no offence.

Mt Collins shudn't be upset at how 2009 went. They were the best team in limerick & played fantastic football throughout the season. They were beaten by an exceptional team in the munster final. being at the game (as a neutral), it seemed that mt collins had a bad day at the office & i don't think the final score line was a fair reflection of the difference between the two teams. everything the kerry crowd tried that day came off & i have no doubt they will win the all ireland jnr A title. Mt Collins can be proud of what they acheived in '09, if you offered most clubs a 2010 county title now but told them they would be well beaten by an exceptional team in the munster final, they would take it without question. I don't expect to see mt collins at the junior A grade again in the near future as they will be competitive in the intermediate & the experience of '09 will stand to them
