pal didnt play in leinster junior club last year cause the fixture clashed with senior football final replay, the exact same thing happened the previous year, the year before pal played bray emmets and year before that was the belmont and galmoy games pieman (Carlow) - Posts: 67 - 13/11/2009 23:06:30 483419 Link 0 |

all good points alrite.. Dunno bout how the divisional sides would work. I suppose one of the problems in carlow town hurling club at the minute is trying to organise it around several fball clubs. entering a team in junior at least by every fball club is an idea i mentioned before and would endorse that. Getting the coaches coursed is ongoing i hope. The colleges a will have to include the dela salle. The arent that good on their own to work in a realistically, and the without them the pick is very small if you go by the letter of the law. Minor talent is there still, but lack of commitment. Had a few more given their commitment, a leinster semi was there again this year gone.. All good points and i think we need to keep things going. old yellar (None) - Posts: 2631 - 07/12/2009 23:43:36 506757 Link 0 |
Yes De La Salle only has around 340 pupils whereas Tullow CS have 800 or 900. So we need to promote hurling there, as rugby is taking over. hurlingguru (Carlow) - Posts: 1847 - 08/12/2009 10:13:49 506924 Link 0 |
yeah as a small county we need to get as many as possible playing hurling at every level. Carlow town shud only cater for the 3 town fball clubs, that is enough of a fixture/training headache. If things were as the shud be, there shud be a second club in the town, but thats not goin to happen. The rest of the clubs should be asked to field at some grade alrite. But this isnt being done. To compete realistically in the leinster champ we need more talent to work with. old yellar (None) - Posts: 2631 - 08/12/2009 20:08:55 507694 Link 0 |

Who beat them and by what bib? Remember underage standards go up and down in schools clubs all the time, however to be fair to Borris they have consistently competed at a good level over the last ten years. getonwithit (Carlow) - Posts: 527 - 15/12/2009 18:36:06 514757 Link 0 |
Will you go away with that? Borris were robbed. Typical of the way we are treated here. I know, I was at the game. CARPS (Carlow) - Posts: 868 - 15/12/2009 18:54:32 514781 Link 0 |
